The moment, that small slice of time that seemingly stretched out into infinity as the world held it’s breath. For Tuski this seemed to happen all too often, her whole body feeling like it was moving through honey or something sticky to stop it moving properly. This time around it was because of a butterfly. She’d just been happily ambling through a plain trying to find something fun to do when she’d spotted the beautiful little thing and locked up, it had landed so close. If she moved any closer it might fly away! Inch by inch the little wolf pup crept closer towards. So close, practically on top of it. Tuski looked disappointed as the tiny creature took to flight only to start smiling from eat to ear as the thing landed on her nose for a moment. Unfortunately her giggling at the action caused it to scare and fly away. Well that was fun, what now.
She continued on her happy little trail, it occurred to her that she hadn’t eaten in a while and she should probably get something to eat. Or drink, or both! So she scented the air and started shuffling about as she picked up a nearby water source. Or what she thought was one. It didn’t smell quite right, and as she trotted on over to it she rather quickly realised that this was indeed the case. The landscape had changed in such a short space of time and the water looked strange. She was pretty sure it wasn’t supposed to be that weird dark brown colour. She tried to lap a little of it up anyway, only to cough and splutter and spit it back out. Ewwww! She barked angrily at the water for making her feel bad and turned her back on it, venturing further into the strange smelling world, hoping to find something that wasn’t weird to eat.
