It would've started out to be a usual day, the sun was shining brightly high up in the sky and the birds were singing proudly. The only thing that could've ruined this day was if one were to sit around inside and waste it on nothing. Of course, a proud warrior would've designated this entire day to train and that's exactly what Athren was going to do. Surely, he did this ever day and that was his routine but he felt like this day was going to be different. Heading outside their capsule house he took a little look around, Kira wasn't around which was quite normal as that boy absolutely loved adventure and Ukare had been off somewhere meditating surely. This wasn't anything new and Athren couldn't help but smirk lightly, there would be no distractions. Slowly, he brought his hand and rubbed his chin lightly as he thought of where he'd do his training session today, he wanted somewhere new and exciting. Somewhere relaxing and beneficial all at once, surely he'd think of a spot.
At this point he would've blasted off into the sky, his energy suppressed to avoid any unwanted attention. That was the last thing he wanted today, today he just wanted to be alone and train to his hearts fullest desire. Athren had believed that training with others could be very beneficial but a lot of the time he didn't like their attitude or how they talked so god damn much. You see, Athren enjoyed training with Kira quite a bit but Kira's personality was a little too bright and happy for him. It distracted him from the real sparring match that was taking place and it was kind of annoying, Athren much preferred the silence and his own company.
As he flew through the blue skies the wind ruffled his hair around and gave a nice, cooling, refreshing breeze on his skin. There was something about flying around the Earth that Athren actually thought was kind of nice and relaxing. It brought to him a sense of calmness that he wasn't fortunate enough to have before. You see, the lifestyle change from being told orders and following them to the life of freedom was much different and the overall adjustment was quite difficult. Before his freedom, Athren didn't enjoy the little things in life like he did now. His only focus was the next mission and the preparation for that mission and sure, he might've loved both those things but now he enjoyed the minor things. He wasn't on a schedule, he didn't have to travel often, he could fly around a planet freely and simply enjoy it. Sure, none of this was that special but he could enjoy it.
As he flew across the planet at very high speed his eyes locked onto a spot that looked perfect to him, it was well hidden within Mount Paozu and he assumed he wouldn't get any strangers rolling up on him there. Quickly he made his descent and his white boots touched down on the soft grass, he couldn't help but scan the terrain with his ocean blue eyes. The mountains formation was quite unique and spread out across quite a large piece of land and the river that ran through it made it all the better. It was a cool and calming place, one where Athren could focus on nothing but this moment and the training he was about to do, but the question was.. Where was he going to start?
At this point he gave his knuckles a quick crack, followed by his neck. He then proceeded with giving all of his muscles a nice, soothing stretch. The last thing he needed was to hurt himself while training, not only would it have looked really bad on him but it would've restricted his fighting abilities and his potential to train and get stronger and let's face it, that wasn't acceptable. Athren needed to train daily to become stronger, he didn't know where his limits were but he needed to find them. He knew that one day the PTO would know that he wasn't dead and come to wipe him out. Some might've thought this was very unlikely but he knew how the PTO worked and they wouldn't tolerate one of their fighters going AWOL, especially not him. He was ranked among the best fighters they had and he had this endless potential and that was part of the reason why they'd hunt him. They wouldn't tolerate that kind of disrespect, not from him. If word got around to the soldiers of the PTO, who only knew how many others would follow suit and go AWOL. Athren would need to be made of an example and most likely publicly.
Thinking about all this put some additional drive into the young warrior, he was going to push himself a little harder today than usual simply because he needed to prevent himself from being an example. There wasn't a single chance in hell that'd he'd let himself be beat by those guys but he did know that their leader was something incredible. In all honesty to himself, he knew he couldn't compete with that and he wasn't even close to being on their level but in time he was confident that he could change that. He was a saiyan after all and a very powerful one, one whom thrived on the mindset that the strong survive while the weak perish. He couldn't let himself be the weaker of the fighters because he knew he'd perish.
"Alright then, Let's get this going." He stated to himself in a tone of complete confidence, he was eager and ready to train and it was about time that he got this thing started for there wasn't anymore time to waste. At this point he took a moment and clenched both of his fists, his veins popping slightly as he growled deeply. "Heeerrrrrrrrg!" At this point his power began to raise and the ground beneath him began cracking, chunks of grass and rock lifted in place all around him as he continued to draw out his true power. Once he unleashed it all, he took a deep breathe and focused on this very moment, the here and now.
"Rah!" He yelled as he lunged himself forwards and struck a punch at his imaginary opponent, this punch was powerful and well executed though that wasn't going to be the only thing he threw out in this attack, he followed this up with a roundhouse kick and three quick jabs of the foot before touching back down on the ground and going into a triple back flip. At this point he slid to a solid stop and smirked lightly, he was already enjoying this and he hardly even got started. Quickly he would've continued with a right jab of the fist followed by a left, his body then shifted right and then left as if he were dodging incoming punches and kicks. His movements were rapid and perfect, he wasn't skipping a single beat. The years of fighting had made his reflex and actions flawless and effective, the training he had undergone and the fights he had toned him into the perfect warrior.
The only thing he needed now was to get stronger to be able to match the might of the leader of the PTO, with his skill set and the appropriate amount of power he figured he'd be more than capable of disposing of the PTO if they had even came knocking on his doorstep and this is exactly how he was going to do it. Endless training, to further perfect his skills and to increase his power level. Those were his main goals right now and even if the PTO didn't show up, this was still beneficial to him.
Given that he was a saiyan, he never knew when his next big fight would be or the next big challenger would show up but he knew he had to be ready for anybody and anything, because he couldn't afford to lose. He refused to lose because he was one of the best.
Athren continued to train for multiple hours and his pace didn't let up, he rapidly continued to throw massive barrages attacks out at his imaginary opponent. Throughout his training his moves didn't get sloppy, they didn't fall behind in any which way. They stayed flawless and well executed, his combinations deadly. Surely, a real opponent wouldn't have wanted to be on the receiving end of any of this.
Another devastating combination left his body as he tossed out another solid kick, followed by a rapid flurry of punches. Once this was finished he flipped into a back flip and unleashed multiple Ki blasts around the surrounding area. As they collided with the environment they kicked up plenty of dust which send it all blasting towards him. After the Ki blasts his feet touched down against the ground once more, his body shot forward as he proceeded to go into another physical combination attack. His right fist would've flown out with two solid jabs before his left foot came around in a solid roundhouse. He then would've launched forward again as he mixed up a follow up of left and right punches.
The young saiyan hybrid would've continued to do this all day long, he didn't quit until the sun starting to creep out of the sky and the darkness began to consume the planet. It was a long and hard training session, one that took all of his attention. By the end of it, his outfit was covered in sweat and his muscles felt sore to a very small degree. His breathing a little heavier than normal, Athren chuckled slightly as he came to a complete stop. "This wasn't too bad." He said to himself with a reassuring tone.
Now that he was completely finished his training session he took another quick moment to stretch his muscles out, it helped him settle down as all the training had his heart rate pumping and the blood rushing through him. Another good idea he had to settle down was taking a nice, relaxing swim in the river. Surely, it would've been refreshing and calming.
Walking over to the riverside Athren looked at the rapidly moving water, the sounds it had made as it went over the edge of the cliff and crashed down into more water below was quite peaceful and relaxing. It was odd, he never realized that he could've enjoyed the finer things in life but here he was. At this point he decided to simply just jump in. It didn't matter to him that he was fully clothed for he knew that he'd dry off in a hurry after he started to fly but he had to admit that the feeling he got when the cool flowing water made contact with his skin was refreshing and nice, it was a solid payoff to a hard days worth of work. Athren would've enjoyed the water for about half an hour before finally getting out, his ocean blues scanned around the area as the water drops fell from his uniform. At this point he figured it was time to leave and head back home, maybe he'd see what Kira and Ukare did with their days. Surely somebody might've done something at least mildly amusing.
Before leaving though, it was at this point that Athren had fully suppressed his power level again. The last thing he wanted to do is bring unwanted attention to himself when he really didn't have too. There was a good chance that'd he'd be able to take on a majority of those who could find him but he wasn't going to risk it at this specific point in time, even if he might've loved a good old fashioned fight right about now. Regardless, safer was better than sorry.
Flaring up his aura around his body Athren blasted off into the sky once more, it was much cooler up here this time around given that the sun had gone down but it was just as equally as nice as before. He didn't mind the colder temperatures that the planet could produce, it just made him more prepared for different scenarios. It didn't take him too long to return back to the capsule house he shared with Ukare and Kira, landing at the front door he would've slowly walked inside. There didn't seem to be any sign of activity going on.
As he entered the building he saw that Kira was passed out on the couch in front of the TV with a table full of snacks and as far as Ukare went, he wasn't sensed anywhere so Athren had simply assumed that he was still of meditating or something. Upon seeing Kira though, he couldn't help but crack a light smirk and shake his head slightly. Kira had been such a typical teenager and Athren couldn't help but find that to be quite amusing.
Moving on with his night, Athren wandered over to his bedroom and began to get ready for bed. After his preparations Athren would've climbed into bed and starred up at the ceiling for a moment. His head filled with thoughts of the past, present and future. Yawning lightly he shifted his weight around and laid on his side, though the thoughts didn't escape his mind. It was odd, his story in life. How he wound up here, on Earth without a real purpose was one he couldn't even begin to figure out. At one point, he had such a bright future with the PTO. His pay was alright, he had a crew whom he could almost call family, he had food and accessories, hell.. he even had some of the top of the line training materials and now he had nothing. He never wouldn't thought that his life would've came to this, living in a capsule house with two others and having nothing but the bare minimum. It was a new lifestyle that he was getting used too slowly, surely with a little more time he'd fully overcome the adaption period.
Maybe something different could've happened though, maybe he was capable of getting everything he had and more here on Earth, with a lot of hard work..? Who knew what he could've ended up getting. In all honesty, the whole universe was at his fingertips. He didn't know what his next step was going to be and he really didn't have a game plan but for now, he was going to roll with the punches and see where life takes him. He knew that someday soon, something would happen that set him on his direction for greatness. Though that was only a matter of time, until that moment came though he knew he'd have to continue to work hard to be a much stronger and dedicated fighter, because who knows what was next?
