Character Name:
Bushi
Gender:
Male
Starting Planet:
Earth
Race:
Tatsujin
Racial Traits:
Irrepressible
Their training makes them formidable foes, however they are incapable of suppressing the power they wield. The twisted nature of their warrior's spirit can be felt with ease even by those that lack ki sensing. This overwhelming energy also floods their senses and makes them incapable of sensing out other targets or learning sense-focused techniques. However, it also floods the senses of others and makes opponent's incapable of sensing any other targets on the battlefield but them. Due to this racial, they do not get God Ki.
Never Stand Down
While below 20% HP, the first time this condition is met and their Energy is reduced to 0 or their Stamina is reduced to 0, increase that back to 20% of its maximum. This is only applied the first time both of these conditions are met for each Energy and Stamina. If HP returns beyond 20%, immediately subtract your Energy or Stamina by 20%. These can become negative for this purpose. While below 0 on Stamina or Energy, you only regain these at half the usual rate.
Shatter the Ceiling
When they have 10% (213.75k, 427.5k, 641.25k, etc) or less Power Level growth remaining before they break 237,500 Power Level or any multiplicative thereof (237.5k, 475k, 712.5k, etc), their power level gains are increased by 25%. After breaking that milestone, their power level gains are decreased by 15% until they've increased their Power Level by 10%. (261.25k, 522.5k, 783.75k, etc).
Age:
19
Fighting Style:
Brawler
7.5% Physical Damage
2.5% Energy Damage
History:
Born on his homeworld of Tatsuyo, Bushi saw the peak of what he believed to be a perfected civilization. Tatsujin togeter always managed to handle things in a way that was easy to understand. You lost a fight, you were weaker than that person. They were in charge. Those who were weak could grow stronger and take charge as a new leader. This was the natural order of things. If you are weak you are to be subjugated until you grow strong. If you are strong you are to subjugate until you are subjugated.
Nevertheless, among his people Bushi felt a call to be a warrior. He, like many other young men, decided to choose a world in which to begin his journey and settled upon a small blue marble in the Milky Way Spiral Galaxy: Earth.
He comes to Earth with no intention of leaving without seeing it under the foot of his people and from there he plans to hop from world to world spreading the truth of existence. The weak stand to be subjugated.
He is the strong.
Personality:
Bushi is a warrior at his core. Driven by a desire to be stronger and stronger, but more importantly than that to continue to grow his sphere of influence beyond his homeworld of Tatsuyo. Having experienced success there it was only natural he'd expect the same success elsewhere.
He's confident, but intelligent and has the know-how to back up his brazen reactions. He's tactical and intelligent, but he's also brazen about his stance on different things. He isn't quiet or reserved, he isn't here as some force of "evil". He's simply bringing about the world he thinks is right: a world ruled by those with power.
He cannot sense energy, due to this he firmly thrusts himself into combat situations without regards for the potential consequences. Even when beaten into submission, he will simply respect the wishes of their requests until he thinks he's gotten stronger than them in which case he'll simply go about doing what he wanted again.
He's not manipulative, but he isn't simple-minded. He's goal oriented nearly to a fault with a dream of controlling as much as he can get his hands on. He is a warrior with the dream of spreading the influence of the Tatsujin, and this is what sets Bushi apart from the apparent villains.
Starting Technique:
Flash Barrier [ST-1]: Through masterful manipulation of ki, the user generates a small centralized barrier of ki energy. The created barrier takes more energy, but protects from the loss of limbs [Increases the cost of defense by 25% of the attack's damage but negates the loss of limbs or any debuffs that attack would have placed if successful]
Dazzling Flight [ST-1]: Through combination with the use of the flight technique, the user lets out a bright light. Useful in escape situations. [Stuns for 1 turn at the cost of 20% Energy]
Flight [ST-1]: The user via the manipulation of ki over time levitates their body and this allows to fly.
Challenger's Taunt [CONT-1]: Spiteful words draw the opponent in, he takes their moment of surprise to grab them by the collar and draw them in for a powerful headbutt, leaving them disoriented and unable to leave the area for a Single Turn [50% of the damage as Stamina Cost]
Silencer [AT-1]: Aimed towards an unsuspecting opponent, Bushi is a warrior - but that doesn't mean he has to play fair. A single blade of energy is used to aim and cut off an important limb. Goodbye sword arm. [50% in damage as Energy]
Terror Inflicting Presence [BT-1]: The twisted auras of the Tatsujin isn't something other races take lightly. Their naturally twisted energy lashes out in the minds of those that can feel its presence. [Inflicts damage to all enemies within close or mid-range. This attack's damage is divided by the amount of targets present. Costs 75% of TOTAL attempted damage as Energy.]
Summon Blade [ST-1]: The user creates a blade out of energy. For one turn, beginning on his next turn, he is incapable of making energy attacks (both basic and technique). His physical attacks (both basic and technique) apply an additional 2.5% (for basics)/3% (Tier 1)/3.5% (Tier 2)/4% (Tier 3)/5% (Ultimates) of his power level as energy damage. The most he can deal this way is 40% (the equivalent possible energy damage he can deal with equivalent energy expended) of his Power Level in Energy Damage. [Cost 20% Energy.]
Dazzling Presence [FT-1]: The user unleashes a bright light, stunning the enemy for a single turn as he bursts towards them as fast as he can with his energy flaring to fill the area, causing them to react with pain and fear [Deals damage to all targets within close or mid-range. This attack's damage is divided by the amount of targets present. Costs 75% of TOTAL attempted damage as Energy as well as 20% of the user's Energy Immediately to stun for 1 turn.]
Example Roleplay:
Rain felt different here. He noted the subtle variance in the way that precipitation felt trailing down his skin from his homeworld. He didn't know if there was an actual difference or cognitive biases setting apart this rain from what he knew so well. Part of him hated the thought of something feeling "better" here than where he was. The pattering of the rain bouncing against his skin, regardless of his opinions of this world compared to home, was rather refreshing for him as he tried to adjust to the different temperatures this world seemed to carry. It was warmer here.
He walked down the road, he noticed rather quickly that he somewhat stood out compared to others. The clothing he wore, armor from his world, appeared to stick out quite heavily. Luckily for him, a lot of the Earthlings simply assumed that he was in cosplay. He wasn't going to waste his time with lesser beings like this. He didn't need to sense their energies to know they were weaker than him. He could tell at a glance that most of them weren't any kind of fighters. It was disappointing to see how little of them were actually worth even acknowledging.
Sure, someone likely deemed him suspicious or different or out there... but frankly something about him didn't quite care. The dull drizzling of the rain on the ground, caused the cement to get a slight reflective glaze to it that allowed him to see his messy black hair through it's slight sheen. He took a deep breath and let the world he was on really sink, being surrounded by people that didn't even deserve a fraction of his superior attention. He took in a deep breath, there was nothing here that managed to draw his attention but it wasn't a good time to behave irrationally.
As he continued down, he saw glimpses of action on screens. Displaying what they called the "World Martial Arts Tournament", it was a spectacle to behold. From what he could see it appeared that someone was attacking others in the audience. So there was definitely some powerful fighters here on Earth. Someone here may actually put up a fight for him. How interesting. He stepped out and made a sharp turn on the sidewalk, his black shoe scratching across the surface of a puddle as he did so abruptly causing the water to splatter up slightly.
He looked towards a building he hadn't seen yet. Lights blinking on a decrepit old warehouse that barely seemed to be holding itself together. Across the top was a logo of a fist shattering through a wall that served as a background with the name "Punch Out Gym!" on it. It drew him in a bit, he hadn't seen any kind of combat training places before now but he had a feeling that it was just that. The usage of the fist is perhaps what drew him in more than anything else. His hands pushed in on the metal bar that opened a whole new world for him...
