It was just another morning as Ayumu stood before the large open location that he had used to train himself for days, weeks and even years as his body remembered the training he had been doing, the meditation and refining of his energy that let him to the body he had now.
Well, That and his nearly constant use of the herbs that made him survive for so much longer than any normal man would have been able too, but that was besides the point of his goal at this point.
Yet today was going to be something unique, something beyond his normal belief of power, something that he could have never understood to be a normal method of survival.
This was going to be something that he never expected as a small flower was sitting in the middle of the opening, slowly growing and expanding as it seemingly manipulated tendrils and roots as if it had a normal body that was spread over a longer and bigger surface, continiously searching for more nutrients.
"Hello." Ayumu spoke awkwardly as the plant then froze, simply looking at him and giving a soft waving motion, which Ayumu returned in fold as he slowly felt the breeze of the wind come through his body.
A few lines of a story he once read starting to resurface in his mind, or atleast he thought it was from a story and not made up by himself on the spot as he felt a bit of fear starting to spread through his body.
'What the flying fuck is this creature.' They both thought in a synchronized moment as the two shuffled closer over as they reached out their 'arms' in unison before jumping backwards, the plant diving underneath the ground in defense and Ayumu covering his face with his arms as he cowered.
No, This wasn't like me at all! Ayumu thought to himself as he would take the arms away before seeing that the woods had been surrounded in branches, trees and other foliage creating a perfect dome as if to keep him there.
Giving an inspective look, Ayumu tried to first figure out what was going on before a small flowery being started to move from the top down to the bottom by hanging down, slowly extending the stalk that connected to the cage as the flower then spoke mentally via Ayumu his own telepathic connection. "What are you doing here?"
"Training." Ayumu spoke as he felt his emotions all over the place, trying to get a grasp on them as he felt that this cage was more restricting than it could have been normally.
Everything was choking him out, there was something wrong as he felt a phobia set in, before realizing that he didn't even have any phobias regarding cages and closed areas...! "You are doing something to me." The man spoke.
It was a bold claim as the flower simply pulled backwards and smiled contently, as it then responded carefully.
"Training." As if to mirror the man himself, there was no sense to this training as Ayumu stood there, unable to move without having himself be set open for any opportunity this plant was looking for.
There was a sense of fear that had set into the man before he snapped out of it as quickly as it arrived as the Plant simply smiled and looked closer and closer.
Gazing, searching and peeking.
There was nothing that could betray what the plant was planning to do as the little tendrils crawled closer and closer to the middle as the man called Ayumu would attempt to resist what was going on.
"So what are you doing here, what is your goal in this little session of training you have caused, what are you trying to figure out?" The man asked, hoping that he would get some extra information for his mind to process.
"To train seems nice, to train seems interesting, but above all, to figure out is the best, to find what is laying inside and open that puddle inside out.
Afterall, what do you think you can get out of a training session without peeking at what is inside first?" The plant responded, smaller flowers starting to grow entirely on the inside of this large dome as the man would place his behind on the ground, trying to put the thought that was on the tip of his tongue out in the open.
Trying to find what was the cause of all these fears as he would let the energy that was inside of his body slowly bubble and pop.
"You are being weird." The flower responded, sensing something.
"And you are a talking flower on a planet with monkeys that can go blonde, can we please get the idea of things being weird out of the window?" Ayumu responded as he started to slowly concentrate his energy, he wanted to figure out what was the issue inside of him before noticing one small mistake as he felt the energy slowly start to spread through his entire body.
"You rooted me." The man spoke, his body convulsing a few seconds as black tendrils were visible growing inside of his arm.
The dark covered tendrils that belonged underneath the ground that had made their way over into his body and were growing all the way inside was nothing that he has felt before.
An agonising pain that would have been explained to the children that he would teach as a pain that was similiar to having iron poured into your veins and slowly expand through them, solidifying and causing permanent damage.
"What a weird way to word it, But i am inside you, to train you as you requested as i will take my own little price of some nutrients from your body."
Ayumu couldn't help but feel his own dinner come up slowly.
Making its way upwards through his neck and onto the surrounding ground if he didn't swallow strongly and tense his neck muscles, feeling saliva dripping from his mouth as he would take a moment to wipe it away and carefully concentrate to try and resist this agonising pain.
"Wrong way." The flower would respond as Ayumu took a moment to listen to it.
What was wrong about trying to resist the pain as he would slowly let it sink in and adjust towards it to resist it more before feeling an even stronger pain as his body was crying out in agonising detail. "You are not supposed to adjust like that. Mix them closer."
Mix? What does this creature mean with mixing them closer, a look of confusion on his face as he wanted to know what was going wrong.
He wanted to figure out what he was doing wrong as the flower then simply shook its head in dissapointment, lowering itself down as the roots started to process further and further, growing painfully and thoroughly.
"Wrong way~ Wrong way~" The flower would keep repeating as it waited patiently, letting the roots grow as the energy slowly simmered into the flower, letting it grow thicker and stronger with every second.
Enjoying that he wasn't able to figure out the trick yet as it gave the flower much more energy to work with.
"Is it written in the past books? Is this a species of energy that i am supposed to mix better? or is it an unique poison that i have written about?" Ayumu would try to argue, but the flower would simply respond with a 'wrong way' once again.
Every time that he came up with one of his usual ideas, they were shot away with the wrong way as Ayumu then simply stood still, unable to realize that everything that he had written about amounted to nothing.
Unless he was mixing the information...?
Ayumu stood still for a moment as he realized something, the energy inside of him was always just Ki, with a small surge of magic, whenever he faced a problem he would always first draw in the energy from around him and then expell outwards some Ki to get a creative burst going.
Afterwards he would bend the energy and fold it towards his own desire, manipulating it from the outside by having the shell of magical energy move to his whim and be instilled a little order that would cause it to follow.
"Mixing it, what if it is bundled up together." Ayumu would proclaim as he noticed that inserting magical energy raw wasn't good for the body, it would give you a burst of energy but it would burn out quickly, leaving empty holes that cause damage.
But you can mix energy types together, You have the energy of the Shinjin, you have demonic energy, Ki from saiyans, they are all unique, but adjusting to all those types is nearly impossible and would be found lethal in most scenario's as the body would give up halfway through adjusting to it.
But if you are able to adjust to some energy that isn't natural and are able to mingle with it, wouldn't you be able to do the same towards other people and help them adjust too?
Ayumu couldn't help but be fascinated by this thought as he took in energy, he took a deep breath as he drew from the surroundings, the energy that he drew in darker than usual as he drew it in as deep as possible, forming a shell at first before then starting to seep it into the core.
Letting it drown himself out as the tendrils moved backwards slightly upon touching the enriched areas that had mixed, attempting to poke through it as he slowly let the energy formulate more and more.
Gathering it carefully as he wanted to let it bundle up and change his own signature nearly permanently, to allow a better way to access magic in his future, to allow a better way to handle anything that the future could throw against him.
The manipulation made the creature slowly push out into the open as long strands of roots were dropped onto the ground, small gaps in his body starting to repair themselves as he couldn't help but laugh at the fact that this was even working.
"This is absolutely insane, i am being trained by a plant that wants to teach me a life lesson and here i am following the stupid example of mingling two kinds of energy within a body, what kind of insane maniac would even think to do this!" He responded contently as he couldn't help but desire a retort before sharp stings of pain struck his cranium.
There was just one thing that he realized as blood started coming out of his mouth, throwing it up onto the flowery field that was located beneath his feet as he grasped for air, panting painfully.
His entire body had started the rejection where the energy that was once so familiar was being repelled and ejected, forcibly cast aside and torn asunder as his muscles spasmed.
Violent tremors beneath his body just causing him to cry out in agony before realizing that he was making a mess of himself, a sense of clarity in the pain that he would have to stand proud to make a few young ones not dig up a corpse.
Standing straight, his back corrected and his hands crossed infront of his torso.
Proudly depicting the words he had once told to a person in the past.
"You are probably not gonna believe this, but i used to be able to fit right here, before i was going to be my own man." Ayumu told himself as he tried to keep his own conscious going.
He couldn't help but feel that he was looking for things to blame, he was in a world where everybody was out to get him and his close ones, Yet there was nobody who could hit as hard as what struck him now.
Not the pain that was starting to sink into his body, as he knew he had to be a winner for once, he couldn't give in to the pain and point a finger because he wasn't good enough because of another person.
"I ain't a coward, i am going to become the best at this planet saving business and keep this planet nice and safe, i am going to show them all that those kids growing up with their little dreams can have them flourish.
Before even a saiyan can go blonde and show the others that they are the supreme one.
I am going to prove to them that i am going to be worthy of being called the protector of earth, but i can not do this on my own."
Admitting to his own weakness, Ayumu knew that he had to remain strong and yet not lay a single lie bare, he had to be honest and tell the truth, even if it hurt him.
"My body feels like it is being torn apart, my body will degenerate faster and my intake will increase, but that is my own fault as i wanted to make a catalyst to base my growth on.
Thank you, you weird flower and your desire to do what you wanted just to help me train, i cannot explain just how much i am thankfull for this." As the dome had vanished by the time that he was able to see clearly with his tear covered eyes as he wiped them away, slowly moving his unsteady feet as he would see that the blood behind him was covered up beneath a small collection of fauna.
It made him sad that there wasn't a way to tell the flower how much he was thankfull to him straight to his face, but atleast with the energy ravaging his body and leaving a large collection of damage on the insides...
He knew that he was suffering enough to warrant his growth, he knew he was suffering enough to see what people in the past had to go through, when the planet was nearly blown to shreds and then damaged to such degree that life itself almost stopped entirely.
There was fear for those days and there was even more fear when the man would realize just how much stronger the blows from Life will be now that he is setting his first few paces into the world known as martial arts and defending.
Into the world of the collecting of the balls, into the world of going from planet to planet, into a world where everything will spin apart and shatter upon the lighest breeze at the right position.
Ayumu had to prepare himself and see if this trick of his would come to fruition now or would come to fruition now for a new technique to protect those he held dear and allow him to push onwards into the future as somebody to be looked at with pride.
So that he can carry this flower as a symbol of pride in his memories and not as a small collapsed idea that it would result into if his spirit wasn't properly carried.
