History:
Like the rest of his kind, Alris was born from the legendary Kaiju tree, quite literally springing into being from one of it’s divine fruits. His so-called ‘childhood’ was spent within a citadel on the Sacred World of the Kais, spending several times a mortal’s lifetime within it’s halls, listening, learning and reading ancient tome after ancient text. The Core people were the caretakers of the Universe after all, and to best take care of something one had to learn more about it! Alris was exemplary in this regard, throwing himself into his studies, spending 25 years on the study of grass alone!
His teachers were worried by this drive at first, ancient stories of powerful Kais gone malicious with pride dancing through their minds, but no matter how stringently they limited this study, the Shinjin absorbed knowledge like mortals did water, and gradually, they came to accept that rather than hubris, Alris simply possessed an unquenchable curiosity, and was no threat to anyone.
Eventually, time passed, as it has a habit of doing, and Alris ‘graduated’ from the academy in a sense, although he still spent a lot of time there. The young Shinjin was fortunate enough to have been assigned a Kai, Maweh, as a master and teacher, and, as always, was eager to learn from him. This was a golden opportunity, as two of the other current Kais had developed under the elder’s guidance, an it was possible he could be the third! Unfortunately, the sentiment was not exactly shared. Maweh was gruff, unsociable and endlessly demanding, sending his subordinates on so many missions that they all mastered the skill of Kai Kai 1000 years earlier than they had been expected to! The only thing that made the whole thing bearable was that no matter how hard the 4 Shinjin apprentices labored, Maweh worked twice as hard as any of them, negotiating treaties, creating small planets, and generally guiding all within North Galaxy to a happy and productive future.
Through all this effort, Alris stayed calm and composed. The Shinjin was simply far too determined to succeed, to determined to learn, for such petty emotions to drive him away. From his first moments, he had been taught that those born from a regular fruit, such as himself were frankly predetermined to be no more than a student or a helper. A chance existed of course for them to become Kais, to become the leader and the teacher Alris so desperately wished to be, but that chance was infinitesimal. One had to be completely pure of heart, possess extreme strength and willpower, along with centuries of experience to even enter the draw! The Shinjin tried confiding in his teacher of this wish, asking his guidance in his path, but the grumpy old Kai simply waved a hand, telling him to get his head out of the clouds and back to work.
Alris walked away from his master’s planet, dejected and put out. The Shinjin’s previous innocence and optimism began crumbling under the harsh hammer blows of reality, and the realization that he might never become a Kai, might never become his true self, nearly crippled him with depression. For decades he labored on his tasks, spending every free moment considering and meditating on what he should do.
One by one the apprentices dropped, even the endless patience of the Core People exhausted by the workload, until only Alris remained. The Shinjin was slowly losing steam however, his resolve to tough it out crumbling. He resolved to take one last assignment, a general survey of a sector of the galaxy for which he helped care, before he finally gave up on this path, and returned to the Sacred Citadel to pass on what he had learned.

Personality:
Alris is altogether a very pleasant person if a bit condescending at times due to his upbringing. The Shinjin is reserved, introspective and soft spoken, almost seeming to fade in the background when in large groups of people. He observes more than listens, choosing his words carefully as not to incite a confrontation and solve the issue at hand with minimal argument and hopefully few ramifications for galactic growth.
Of course, when the Shinjin wants something, the word "stubbornness" does not quite accurately describe his intense drive to finish what he started
Alris is a being of strong moral character and unyielding determination to do the right thing, even if those he is helping disparage or outright refuse his assistance. He believes firmly in the notion of guiding the short sighted mortals to a prosperous future, eliminating all conflict and selfishness by example and action, and gradually turning his flock onto the right path. This sometimes works against him, as opposing such malevolent forces as the PTO, even on a small scale, can bring the pacifistic Shinjin into conflict with many powerful warriors.
The Shinjin is intensely curious, regarding new knowledge as one might an interesting dish, savory and mysterious. This usually gets him into trouble in less serious situations, but he can rein in it slightly when in more serious encounters, slightly.

Starting Technique:
[ST-1] Flight
[ST1]Ki Sense
[ST1]Ki Suppression
[ST-1]God Speed- By focusing all of his ki into movment, Alris is able to leave an afterimage in order to dodge an attack.
[PT-1] Way of the Holy Fist - Through decades of combat experience and training but some of the best combat-inclined Shinjin, Alris is no slouch when it comes to physical combat. The style focuses mainly on single, ki-infused hard hits to disable an opponent and attempt to break bones. It is not a perfect style, but is serviceable for the Shinjin. [1-50%]
[BT-1] Mana Burst - Alris lifts his hand, energy pouring from his palm as he forms a ritual circle covered with mystical symbols in mid-air, facing towards his opponent. Tendrils of lighting then erupt from the circle, meshing into one decently strong blast of ki. [1-50%]
[AT-1] Judgement's Blade - For those occasions where Alris has no other option than to completely disable his opponent, he forms a white blade out of nothing but his ki, slashing at the opponent in a blindingly fast movement. [1-50%] [CAN SEVER LIMBS]

[ST-1]Holy Purification - Utilizing his inherent magical powers, along with his sheer vital energy, Alris is able to project a healing aura from his hands to repair wounds. Cannot replace limbs. He may target himself. This can only heal one person at a time. This heals for a 1:1 ratio of ki to health points.

Example Roleplay:
“Begin”
The combat-master’s words rang out across the large sealed room, reaching the two combatants currently crouched low in a fighting stance. The first figure reacted immediately, his hand snapping up and firing off several tendrils of reddish ki towards the other figure. The second grunted, sweeping his hand forward and dispelling the attacks with a wave of pure force, sending the first combatant skidding backward several meters until he ground to a halt.
“Really Enri? A ki blast swarm? I thought you were better than that.” Alris called out to his friend, his mouth twitching into a slight grin. The other Shinjin’s only response was a low grunt, smoke still trailing from his hands. Enri then rushed forward in a blur, his hands already moving to strike at his fellow Shinjin.
Alris parried his friend’s open-palm strike with a sweep of his arm, moving for a sweep kick only for Enri to neatly hop over it. His foe then attempted to turn the momentum of the jump into a heavy axe kick, forcing Alris to utilize his God-Speed technique to avoid the heavy blow. The Shinjin bit his lip in a nervous gesture, he wasn’t nearly as skilled as Enri in close combat, even though he was a hair faster. If he was to win this bout, he would neat to fight smarter, and not keep trying to engage this close.
Alris unleashed a heavy kiai into the face of his friend, surprising the other Shinjin with how powerful his ki had become. “MANA BURST!” Alris roared, unleashed a massive crackling wave of ki at his foe, revealing his new technique for the first time. Enri launched his own ki wave in response, struggling against the sudden overwhelming power. Nevertheless, the Shinjin managed to create a small pocket within the pillar of ki that Alris had unleashed, riding out the storm of energy with nothing but a few burns.
“Match”
Enri, surprised, whipped his head around to protest the calling of the match, only to freeze as he noticed the humming blade of energy pressed against his neck, as well as the serene expression on Alris’ face. Enri sighed loudly, holding up his hand in surrender as Alris dispelled the blade. Enri threw his arm around the Shinjin’s shoulders, “Can you let me win ONE match Alris? Seriously this is your 1,000th win, you might want to try the experience of losing!” Alris simply smiled, walking out of the room.
