There was a big wide world outside the forest. She knew that already but recently more and more of the outside world had been coming to her forest. It was slightly vexing to say the least especially when she was aware that she was weaker than the various newcomers and if they became violent and aggressive it’d be disastrous for her home. So today she was doing her best to get bigger and more powerful in the way that the large human had told her to. The only downside was that she wasn’t aware of just how to use the strange heavy headband that the large human had used. So she had ventured forth to seek advice and hope that the damn Logco tribe wouldn’t attempt anything in her absence. It was quite the moment of joy for the young demon as she shot up and above the tree line, turning slowly in the air to pick a direction and heading towards the rather large mountain that the area got it’s name from.
Humans probably wouldn’t be too numerous along the mountain side, but she could pick up on something stronger than the average human there. So just maybe there would be someone she could make understand her. She’d managed to learn a few new words thanks to the lovely book that Courne had produced, so with any luck she’d actually have a chance at getting them to make any sort of sense, and they wouldn’t be one of the murderous humans her father had told her about. She didn’t think she’d honestly stand anything of a chance in a fight with a human that had the kind of strength of the large human that’d given her the weight. So she just had to hope that it was someone like him, or even him again in order to teach her.
As she closed the distance it became more evident that there was more than just the stronger energy along the mountainside, she veered off course and landed in a scruffy piece of woodland, barely a few
trees and sparse bushland. They felt so different to her own and she leaned close against one of them trying to read it’s energy through the bark. It was so faint, so weak. They felt like they were barely clinging to life, it was strange that they were even here. She hadn’t expect there to be enough food to support plant life here. But she guessed everything could adapt to live anywhere given enough time to get the hang of it. Much like herself in this rather inhospitable human realm.
