Birds flitted by chirping as the little monkey girl wandered through the area of Paozu. She had gotten quite a distance from her home, but chose not to head towards the forest this time. There was a river this way, and the petite teenager wanted to try her hand at fishing. Her father did it, and he always brought home plenty of food, so surely it wouldn’t be too hard. Once she reached the water, Valla crouched near the edge and concentrated on the energy around her. Little wisps rushed by; some were swimming alone, others were in little schools.

The water was fairly deep here, however, and the little monkey wasn’t too fond of getting drenched. That’s when an idea struck… Her tail! If the tip of her tail got wet, oh well; better than her full body. Gently, her tail was dipped into the water; it was warm and felt nice, she supposed. After waiting for only about 5 minutes, Valla sighed to herself. “This is taking forever…” She was about to get up, when suddenly a large ball was headed towards her… It was very large, in fact. Before she could register what it was, she was very suddenly yanked into the water!

It took a moment for her to center herself, as she was being swept through the river’s depths, and she quickly held her breath. But it was rough. In anger, Valla began to volley a wave of ki blasts at the fish that was twice her size. It took a second to get her aim right, but after a hit to the face the fish went belly-up. Valla quickly grabbed it by its gills and swam/floated herself out of the water and onto the bank. She panted as she stood up and felt her damp clothes and hair. “… STUPID FISH!” was yelled in annoyance, in her monotone, as she kicked it.

The forested mountain surrounding them was quiet, calm and peaceful, and to Triton a very welcome change of scenery. He had always lived in the city, and ever since he’s learned to fly he had enjoyed going to far off places like this, although that was a lacking description in this case. Being from West City in particular, he couldn’t be much farther from home out here on Mount Paozu, all the way across to the eastern continent. Triton had been feeling a bit shut in lately, especially being so lax with his training among other things, and wanted to get out and stretch his legs. He was wearing his training gi as well today, a deep blue color with a red undershirt, in case there was any chance of a spar between himself and the bouncy girl next to him.

With him, of course, was his ever present companion, Ren. The little Majin girl was more than excited to go out on a ‘date’ with her ‘boyfriend’, as she always referred to him as. He didn’t mind of course, as he had come to accept that he was stuck with the cute little pink girl some time ago, and enjoyed their relationship. Yes, his girlfriend, Ren. The thought always brought him a bit of humor, but Triton did care for her very much, as she did him. She was currently next to him, and he was sure that she was greatly enjoying the trail. She always liked stuff like this, and it was much cheaper than the two of them going to any sort of restaurant.

Sighing as he stretched his arms out to either side, not having to worry about hitting Ren due to her being so tiny, he smiled. “It’s so peaceful out here, isn’t it? Almost makes me wish that we lived on a mountain.” Over the last couple years that they’d known each other, the two had moved together to Papaya Island. He liked it there as well, it allowed him to train over the water where he wouldn’t cause too much trouble. “It’d be really neat to be able to do whatever we wanted out here. Food would be harder to get though. Probably not a good idea.” He smiled at the little bubblegum Majin.

Suddenly, a loud crashing sound was heard nearby, like water exploding outward. Then he was pretty sure he heard someone speaking. “Someone else all the way out here?” He said to Ren as he looked in the direction of the noise. “Lets go make sure they aren’t in any trouble.” Triton began to head quickly towards the sounds.

Ren lopped alongside Triton, she had been greatly enjoying all the time they had been spending together recently. Eating out, going out, seeing movies, eating out… Yeah, they had gone to Buu Land more than a few times and were rather short on finances due to it. The two had been staying in a rather small capsule house out near a beach on Papaya Island, all they had to pay was some cheap rent on the land, and boom they had a home. Today though they were going out for a nice little walk, Ren hoped that Triton had some food in some capsules for later though or else she would get way too hungry.

“Is really peaceful, yep!” Ren would reply, “Ren could see living on mountain with Triton, is really pretty. Ren likes water though, warm water not cold stream water.” Ren made a bit of a face at the talk of scarce food, “Mhmm… Ren not like if food hard to get, Ren likes food too much. THOUGH! Ren can make food with beam, but that mean turning trees and stuff into food, is mean to trees. But Ren no like hurting animals, so food that way is hard too.” Ren nodded repeatedly as she continued chattering along.

Ren heard the crash too, maybe someone was swimming? At the talk of trouble Ren would nod, “Yep, help people that need help! Maybe, th- persons live here.” It wouldn’t be too hard to believe for the little Majin as she herself used to live in some mountains years ago. The two began heading over to the source of the sound and found a rather wet and angry looking girl. Ren immediately saw that she had a tail, which meant she was a Saiyan! It also meant that she was super-duper cute! She had a huge fish too! “HULLO!” Ren called out, “Saiyan girl! You fall in water! Fish is pretty big,” Ren laughed and tugged at Triton’s sleeve while pointing at the girl.

Water splashed onto the grass as the girl wrung out her wet shirt. A quick shake of her head made her dizzy, but it got some water off the wet black mop of hair. Valla held her tail to check if it was alright, surprised that the fish's bite hadn't been strong enough to knock her out. “Father must put a lot of pressure on this when I collapse… Now that I think about it, Mama doesn't even do that anymore. Maybe it's starting to get stronger…” she murmured in wonderment to herself. Releasing her unharmed tail, the monkey then stood and wondered what to do with the fish. [Meh. Carrying the whole thing home should be easy enough.]

Valla jumped as she heard a female call out to her; having been too distracted by her thoughts. There was a mild social anxiety panic induced within herself. She never really spent time around people… Out of natural reaction, the tail curled itself up and around her waist and under her hoodie; nice and safe. The woman's aura was weird, much more different than a human. And the male's energy was strong. “Uh…” Valla bumbled for the fish and faked being blind in the way she was before Ki sense. “Uh… Thank… You?” was all her monotone could force out.

Hefting the fish above her head she began to creep shyly back towards her home, but then stopped and sighed as her father's teachings crossed her mind. Setting down the fish, she then turned towards the two and pointed to herself. “I'm Valla… It's uh.. Nice to meet you… I suppose…” Despite her usual calm and almost dead demeanor, the Saiyan seemed noticeably awkward about the whole situation. “Um what- I… Mean… Who are you?” the girl trying to not make it too obvious that she could see two people, even staring somewhat in the wrong direction.

After jogging a short distance into through the trees, Triton and Ren had come upon a young girl. At least, he assumed she was young, because she was tiny! There was no way that the little Saiyan, as Ren had pointed her out to be, was even close to five feet tall. As the Majin pulled on his shirt, he took note of the girl’s slight panic at the sudden entrance and noise they created. She even attempted to just slink away in her wet clothes without speaking! He’d wondered for a moment if she was even younger than he’d thought, and didn’t want to frighten her if she l were just a child.

After she seemed to give up on leaving and faced the two of them, or tried not to face them? The Half Saiyan couldn’t tell, truthfully. She seemed to be looking near them, not quite at them, even though she had just looked right at them, and her eyes were a strange clouded color. She likely wasn’t a full Saiyan, since he’d never known a Saiyan to have any blue in their eyes at all, except Pluto and himself who were half. After she introduced herself rather flatly as Valla, Triton smiled and continued to watch her strange habits.

“My name is Triton, and this is my friend, Ren. She’s usually this friendly when she meets new people, especially Saiyans because she likes tails.” He explained. “We heard sounds from on the trail we followed, and I’m guessing that was you fishing up that monster.” Owing to the fact that he was too friendly at times, he continued. “Is there a reason you’re looking away from us like that? You don’t have to be scared or embarrassed or anything.” Triton didn’t mean to be as invasive as he was, he was just trying to make her more at ease, since they had intruded upon her fishing spot the way that they did.

Ren giggled to herself as the girl moved about and spoke cause she had a very cute and funny voice. She would make a scoff though at the statement of being ‘his friend’. “Well, girlfriend! Ren girlfriend,” she would chirp out with a giggle. Ren held on to his arm and swayed from side to side, she didn’t really mind that he said friend cause she knew exactly what he meant. She made soft popping sounds with her mouth as she swung from his arm; she would be looking around at the sky and around at the girl.

When Triton asked the Saiyan about why she was looking around Ren would be rather curious too, “Over here! We is over here, Saiyan girl!” Ren would call this out and giggle loudly. The girl was very cute though, and she liked her voice as well, “Um, uh Ren think you are cute! Oh and uh Ren thinks that you-r voice is super sweet!” Ren would close her eyes and smile brightly at the girl. Ren probably wouldn’t understand the girl was blind even if she told them, Ren had never encountered anyone with such a disability before.

The Majin would watch and listen to the encounter, she didn’t really have too much to say currently, she was just happy she was out with Triton. As well as if the two of them made a new super cute friend, that would be really nice too. Ren liked making new friends, she knew Triton did too but Ren probably liked it more cause she was happy when Triton was happy. The fish that the girl had caught looked pretty good too, she wondered if the girl would invite them to eat and then they could all have a picnic and get to know eachother. “We should, we should all eat together! Triton can cook fish! We can eat!” She would call out gleefully.

Valla slowly blinked at the Majin girls speaking. She was very weird! Her aura alone was a bright bubblegum pink that Valla simply could not comprehend. That and her odd sounds. But the male had to be human, with how he spoke… Except his aura was stronger than most humans. Humming to herself, a thought crossed her mind. Bowing her head in their direction, “It’s nice to meet you both, Triton and Ren. I'm not embarrassed, I was born blind… Uh… Have you met many Saiyans?” The monkey girl thought carefully on her wording.

“I wasn't meaning to catch this fish, I was trying to get a normal fish… Uh… With my tail.” she'd blush a bit thinking how stupid that must sound, and cleared her throat. “It dragged me into the water, so I had to kill it… It's the first fish I caught. I don't eat very much, so I don't mind sharing. But I was hoping to show it to my parents. Would you both like to meet them? Mom's really good at making a lot of food. We don't live too far away, and it's a farm so we have a big yard that we could picnic in…” Valla felt winded. She never spoke that much, ever, but it was hard to not ramble when nervous.

It was a high hope that they'd agree to come with, because Kohlrob would be able to explain things to her, even if it was after they left. And if they were trouble, he'd be able to get them to leave. She was sure of it. A thought then popped into her head. “Um… How old are you two? I'm sixteen.” Valla never really thought much on friendship, but they sounded younger. Especially the pink blob. And she had heard of teenagers have boyfriends/girlfriends. The teen didn't really understand feeling like that, herself. But to each their own. There was a feeling of disappointment, though. She can't train with a human… “Uh… Also… Um… Do you two like to fight? Just wondering…”

As always, Triton couldn’t help but smile as Ren addressed the cute little Saiyan girl. If there were ever a day where the candy colored Majin didn’t put her full energy into making it evident that they were together, he could never name it. She loved nothing more than to flaunt him about like a delicious lollipop for everyone to be jealous of, though not in a rude or aggressive way, she was just so happy to share him with everyone. Ren was already doing her best to make the little monkey girl their new friend, and of course the offer of a picnic of some kind was a nice thought. Although, they’d probably need more food.

Triton nodded at the question of his experience with Saiyans, before he pointed at himself with his free hand’s thumb, the other still taken up by Ren and her constant tugging. “I’ve always known Saiyans, I’m actually half.” He would explain. “My father is a Saiyan. My friends growing up were half too.” He didn’t mind sharing a little about himself, since he figured that she wasn’t able to tell that he was a Saiyan as well. Especially now, considering that she said she was blind. That detail struck Triton as odd, and he wondered how it was that she could get around so easily without sight. There are other senses than vision, however, and he couldn’t rule out that she probably had help from something similar. “If both of you wanted to, then I guess I wouldn’t mind going and having a little picnic.” He said to the two girls, basically allowing them to decide on what to do. He didn’t want to just intrude on her family and all, but he was sure that Ren would want to meet them. At the mentioning of her age, Triton was nearly floored. How could she possibly be sixteen? She looked like a child for sure! But he doubted she’d deceive them about something so trivial. “I’m actually around twenty two years old, though I don’t really look it. And yeah, I like fighting but I haven’t been training as much as I used to. I’m still pretty decent though I guess.” He felt a little ashamed of his lack of training, and he’d certainly gotten a lot weaker than he was before. Knowing that she had at least one Saiyan as a parent she likely had some training as well, though again the thought of her being blind was strange. He could have sworn she looked right at him, and how could she do all of this stuff without sight? Triton thought about it all as he decided he’d like to find out how.
