“Meringue...” Spoke a silver haired woman, the witch in training known as Mesmerelda, a soft look of regret on her face. “Where in the seven circles did you put my sunglasses.” She sighed in a calm tone, annoyed at how bright the sun was shining. “Did you leave them at home.”
“Language.” Spoke the Majin, shielding her own eyes from the bright light of the sun. “And no, you left them. Remember, “look after your own possessions”. You said so yourself.”
“Well, I can’t help it!” She responded, showing that she wasn’t prepared for going outside in the least as she put her arm on her forehead to block some of the sunshine. “So what is our plan here and what are you doing here of all places…?”
The Majin woman frowned to herself as she thought of what their objective really was. She didn’t like the sunlight, it was distracting and far too bright. “We’re here to meet and old mentor of mine, to discuss our work and how far we can take it”
Ayumu was simply walking towards the discussed location, Knowing that there was something amiss with what had been going on, There could be no way that Meringue of all people would have requested him to come back in an open area, but even when visiting the house, he didn't notice them at all! Yet he stumbled upon them in the plains?! "Meringue and her girlfriend? What are you two doing out here? normally you limit yourself to being inside and spending your time just practicing and researching stuff, what made this change happen?" The man asked curiously with a soft smile on his face.

Watching the old man come into view, Mesmerelda raised a hand. "Yooo, it's the old fart" She said, ignoring the "girlfriend" remark. Unlike the dignified Meringue, who was unusually flustered at such a phrase being used.
"How absurd..." She muttered, looking down and frowning. "What? Nothing's absurd about sharing a bed because of how cold it is some ni-" Said Mesmerelda, interrupted by an extended hand covering her mouth. "It's a long way for you to travel to get to us, plus my associate here needed fresh air if we are to monitor her... Extraordinary condition effectively" Explained Meringue, adjusting her glasses with her free hand and causing a fairly bright glint in the sunlight.
Ayumu himself couldn't help but notice the soft reaction, seeing that Mesmerelda was being a rather sassy one as usual, before letting a bouldering laugh come from his torso. "So she is able to travel finally and maybe it is time for you to stop being so protective right!" He would proclaim before then giving a soft and silent cough. Trying to shift the motion of the conversation to something a bit more fruitfull as he knew that catching up could be done with this. "So you had an idea on how to increase yourself in power, right? Or atleast yourself and others via the way that a majin was able to power themselves up?" He spoke honestly.
"Nonsense, we are still unsure on her stability" Sighed Meringue, crossing her arms and standing with noticeable impatience "I have to be protective." She continued, adjusting her glasses once again. "Aaw, see? She does care!" Spoke Mesmerelda, feigning a touched reaction from the stern Majin's words.
"Shut up." She responded bluntly and quickly without hesitation, with her relationship with the witch being good enough to know that no offence would be taken by this. "As for my hypothesis, we theorised that there may be a potential link in the act of fusion and the native ability to absorb others in the Majin race, consensual or otherwise" Explained Meringue, "As you wrote in one of your books that is. I feel as if you know where this will be going." _ WC: 129
As Ayumu listened carefully, he couldn't help but show that his face was smiling contently as he chuckled, bringing forwards the enjoyment that he hadn't felt for this long near the person that was called Meringue, she had been focusing so hard lately afterall.
"Please, do elaborate, because i am curious about what your plan is in this scenario. Majins are able to fuse by absorbing others and we have other races that have been able to fuse together with their own species, but am i truely thinking what your plan is at this point?" Remembering how Namekians were able to merge bodies together in a forbidden act. But that wasn't all, Biomechanical androids were also able to absorb and fuse with other beings by taking them in rather quickly and sometimes violently.
"Well, the end goal is to advance each form of "fusing" under one unified definition or method" Explained Meringue, "But... As it stands now, we are stuck. We have no context for what other races go through with their individual methods" She sighed, removing her glasses in order to clean them with a neatly folded handkerchief. "But that is where your own research comes in, you can fill in any blanks we're missing with your expertise and prior experience" Said Meringue, putting her glasses back on.
"And, if you are willingly able. I wish to temporarily absorb you." She concluded, looking at the old man with a stern face.
"My, how forward of yo-"
"Shush. My reasoning is simple, so that I may get a better understanding of the basics of my own limitations". She said, "Of course, if you object, that is fine." _ WC: 144
Ayumu without a second thought just threw up his hands in admittance, looking confused at the reasoning on why the idea of fusing even would have to match with absorbing him. But he also had a fire in his own chest, a burning fire that told him that Meringue wouldn't destroy him normally, she wouldn't go out of her way to just eliminate him and make sure to kill him off.
"Sure, Go ahead." He proclaimed, his smile shining as usual and his clothing sense making absolutely no sense for how he once went to the far frozen north with only his white T-shirt, a wifebeater to say the least. Yet as he proclaimed this, Ayumu letting Meringue do her little ordeal... He soon realized one little mistake.
"Wait, you are not going to kill me off because i stole your coffee creampuffs right?!" But this sentence would probably be muffled by whatever she was planning to do.
