Name of Race: Mabota
Home Planet: Hephaestus
History of Race:
The origins of the Mabota race was actually lost to time. The race themselves having no real interest in their past and instead only think of the present. However, what was known of those who took notice of such things would be aware of the precursor to their race conquering the planet Hephaestus and developing a planet wide chain of factories. In which the Mabota race as they are now known started to be developed, en masse. Made from what was at the time considered their greatest warrior. Though the clones barely came close to the skill and power of the original.
The remaining factories were dedicated to the production of equipment to arm the clones, the replica army once geared up did the only logical thing. Deal with what seemed to be the largest threat. Their creators, the only ones who knew how to shut down the cloning vats and could ruin the imprint code. Without them, the race had to address it’s biggest problem. It’s home world and facilities provided no materials or supplies to keep the race alive and so they quickly became mercenaries working for whoever could provide them with the resources they needed in exchange for their capacity as a military force. While not the shock troops of the Saiyans, they were huge in number, and had no fear of death due to knowing they were clones, and that they had mental backups. Death was for lesser races, the Mabota are unceasing.
Most Mabotians are a strange sort, they have no real love of combat and battle, seeing it as just another job to put zeni in their pocket, provide for the homeworld and get the chance to enjoy themselves, each of them tends to find their interest in differing hobbies/activities despite their identical start. Commonly what interesting thing is introduced to them first. When they encounter something new for the first time, it becomes a bit of a coin toss if they find it a stupid waste of time. Or the best thing ever and their new found love so to speak.
Appearance:
Being a clone race, the entire race stands at a reasonable six foot, being a light skinned female humanoid resembling humanity but with the pointed ears more commonly associated with Namekian’s. Due to who they were cloned from they all only have one working eye and red hair at shoulder length unless they#ve discovered cosmetics.
Racial Biology:
Instinctive Competition: For each Mobota on the same side during a battle, their stamina/energy costs are reduced by 5% to a maximum of 50% (Not sure what a sensible cap is and to be clear it removes a percentage of the energy cost, so a 20%energy cost move would cost 19% energy with one ally in a fight.)(also allies not actively participating do not count for this bonus)
Clone Race: The Mabota race that die in battle can be repurchased, returning To life almost exactly as they were. This costs 2000zeni initially but increases by 1000 with each death as the race starts increasing the charge for someone throwing away so many soldiers to carelessly (Mabotian’s can go to the afterlife, but cannot return until they or someone else pays this charge)
Factory line: Due to manufacturing their own equipment, the Mabota are able to trade in their gear and spares when buying equipment for their soldiers. Gaining a 20% discount on purchases
Transformations: While the Mabota cannot transform in a traditional sense, when they group up, they seem to sync up and combine attacks in ways that make them dangerous to even the strongest of foes.
This Squad up mechanic requires you to bring additional Mabotians (player or NPC) to a fight and then lose access to them for the duration of the fight, (this can be done before a fight “starts” to start the fight as a squad) each member of that squad acting in unison (lost allies no longer grant instinctive cooperation benefits) But the combined squad has access to the moves of all it’s members. The downside, if this combined squad loses and dies every member of the squad dies.
Members can join squads/squads can merge together if situation requires to gain access to their higher bonuses
To be clear a squad counts as a single combatant and fights as one.
Depending on the strength of the lead Mabotian and their leadership skill (pl) Squading up has stronger effects
Fire Team [Starts With]
Base multiplier is X1 (I.e does nothing) For each player/ally/Henchmen in the squad (Other than the transformation user) this increases by 1 up to a maximum of X10
Squad [150k PL]
Base Multiplier is X2 Each Henchman in the squad increases this by 1 and each player/ally by 2 to a max of X20 (Again the user of the transformation does not count towards the number of people in the squad.)
Platoon [200k Pl]
Base Multiplier is [X3] Each henchman in the squad increases this by 1, each player/ally by 3 to a max of X30
Company [300kpl]
Base Multiplier is [X4] Each henchman in the squad increases this by 1, each player/ally by 4 to a max of X40
Regiment [400kpl]
Base Multiplier is [X5] Each henchman in the squad increases this by 1, each player/ally by 5 to a max of X50
The legion [700kpl]
Base [X7] Each henchman in Each henchman in the squad increases this by 1, each player/ally increases this by 7 to a max of 70, a squad using only players/allies instead of Henchmen can be pushed to X80 max
