Standing in the middle of an alley, Ayumu couldn't help but feel the soft grind of the beans on his fingers as he started to process them through his little mill, his stand creaking as his feet moved over the ground as he had taken up to his old mannerisms in exploring and finding out information about the current populace.
Knowing that he had been roasting these beans for quite a while as he started to measure them out carefully... Small dishes that were baking in the oven made from a strong mixture that caused it to spread, vanilla and a bit of a fruity scent that wasn't anything perfect to say the least.
But to the trained nose what had been hidden underneath that was something much more interesting, a dark roast of beans grown under the supervision of this man that was busy preparing everything himself.
"every six ounces of water, you should add two scoops o' the old roast, which in this case means that when you roast it yourself and grind it down, aging is a very important factor..." Ayumu spoke to himself as the words were drilled into him from the years of expierience.
Was it truely just another case study of wanting to make a perfect drink or was it just him trying to remember how to go through the steps as the dishes that he was busy preparing for the bypassers who just took a cup and told any old story?
No, It was because of the sign that he had prepared outside of this wide alley that barely let the sun shine through, with the scent of beans, coffee, pastries and other small snacks bombaring the people walking on the main street... If only it wasn't for the sign that he had prepared that had written a few simple lines on it.
