History:
The Namekian known as Jhelks of the Dark Clan was hatched in the year 976. Bred into service as part of a Dark Clan/PTO allegiance treaty Jhelks and his brood were sold shortly after birth to the PTO for use as shock troops. The deal was common place for the Dark Clan and Jhelks and his brothers were sent to serve without a second thought.
The PTO began domestication training of its Namekian fodder as soon as the children were old enough to stand. Unlike normal soldiers Namekians weren't trained in army drills or battle strategy. Instead the PTO beat loyalty and service into Jhelks and his brethren. Every day the boy was taught to follow orders, he was beat when he asked questions, beat when he cried. Before long Jhelks learned not to speak, soon after he learned to simply do as ordered.
Beyond domestication Namekians knew one function in the PTO, battle. Seen as expendable slaves the PTO would drop Namekians by the dozens onto plants deemed fit for invasion. Without training, weaponry, or tactics the Namekians learned to fight or die by the droves. It became common knowledge that of every twenty Namekians dropped into battle at best two would survive.
Driven by a urge to survive Jhelks swiftly grew into a brutal killer over the years. Whether by fate or luck or some notion Jhelks himself could not describe he survived battle after battle, slowly turning his lucky strikes and base instinct into a tried and true combative style. By watching PTO soldiers and native planet defenders the Namekian learned to harness his ki, learned how to fly, learned how to kill better than ever before.
After surviving for ten years Jhelk was considered a rare specimen in the PTO. Dark Clan Namekians who survived for ten years were elevated out of the shock troops and officially enlisted into the PTO proper, now fourteen Jhelks was fitted with a uniform. For the first time Jhelks was enrolled into studies, training, and excepted as something more than fodder. A distrust lingered in the Namekian, but for the first time he was treated with station and respect; and so a need for something more than simple survival took hold in his heart.
Once properly trained and educated Jhelks was selected to serve in a saboteur program for the PTO. His corps job was to integrate hostile societies and cripple their defenses for invasion. As a member of the commonly believed 'peace-loving' Namekian race, Jhelks excelled at his new profession and became a favored saboteur of the PTO.
Over a decade later and Jhelks developed a highly decorated PTO career of service, one of only a few dozen Namekians to have ever advanced so far in the military organization. A stirring in the Dark Namekian had slowly grown over the span of his life however. In nearly twenty four years of life Jhelks had not seen the blue fields and green waters of his homeland since he was a hatchling. The call to return to Namek tugged at his very soul and in a rare moment of emotion Jhelks elected to return to his homeworld.
With over two decades of honorable service Jhelks invoked a old clause in the Dark Clan/PTO treaty, allowing him to peaceably retire from service after twenty years of service. The PTO was shocked by the decision, if only because Jhelks was the first ever Namekian to use this method of departure. Retired with honors Jhelks began the next phase of his life and hopped a shuttle to Namek.
Upon reaching the beautiful world of his race Jhelks hid his PTO and Dark Clan association with his training and spent several months getting acquainted with the surface and its people. It wasn't long however before Jhelks returned to the subterranean cities of his clan. Now returned to those who share his dark heritage a whole new adventure awaits.

Personality:
Jhelks is a Namekian who believes in that the universe is sick with abundance. Too many plants, possessing to many people and simply not enough resources to go around. All across space food, wealth, wishes... all things are fought for by those with power. In nature the strong eat the weak, and only those with great will, intellect, or power are meant to survive.
Because of this jaded world view Jhelks is considered cold even by other Namekians of Slug's descent. He doesn't believe in helping others or granting aid unless to do so would directly benefit himself. Jhelks is not without heart however, when companions or soldiers die he recognizes and honors their value of service. Anyone capable or possessing of exceptional potential will be greeted with respect by Jhelks, whether the be friend or foe to him.
On top of this Jhelks is strangely honor bound despite his evil nature. The Namekian villain does not lie without cause, and has been known to honor the dying requests of enemies who have impressed him in battle.

Example Roleplay:
The rough stone tunnel was long and winding in its path. Jagged hews of raw, gray rock scrapped at the travelers booted heels every few feet; threatening to trip the traveler. The hooded figure simply bore the aggravation and progressed on his dark path, somehow the traveler knew that he was getting closer to his goal.
Illuminating the dark stone cavern was accomplished meekly by the old lantern that dangled at the travelers hip, a hooded tin trinket the kept the light pointed forward and out of the travelers face. Still the fire light only stretched so far into the darkness, the caves were deep beneath the surface. A place that knew no sun and swallowed light with every shadow, even now the traveler could not see the corners of the very path he walked.
Still the traveler put foot before foot and soon began to see a faint glow in the deeper darkness beyond his lantern. Reaching his clawed fingers into his trinket the traveler snuffed the flame within, plunging his surroundings into shadow. Walking carefully in the black the distant glow grew into a soft blue glow. Rounding a bend in the stone the traveler became awash in the blue light as he stumbled into a cavern of azure-glowing mushrooms.
The vibrant plants reflected off the cavern ceiling, sparkling minerals dazzlingly enhancing the soft glow into a form of beauty the surface of Namek would never know. The traveler, so caught up in the mystic setting didn't even realize that he was not alone in the cavern. "Hey! Who do you think you are walking around down here?!" a sharp voice challenged from one side of the great cave. The traveler turned to peer through the thicket of plants and light, walking around the stalk of one great mushroom for his eyes to settle upon a group of four Namekians.
Dressed in an assortment of yellows, oranges, and purples the group was made up of two children and two adult Namekians. The children bore the standard appearance of Namekian people when young, the adults however were both grand in height. One thin, the other hugely muscular and both well over two meters in height. The muscular one had been the travelers challenger, and he crossed thick arms of bulging muscle over his broad chest as he stared the hooded traveler up and down. "We don't like strangers down here tell us who you are, before you get hurt." the muscular Namekian demanded with a threatening fang filled grin.
"Now now big boy. My name is Jhelks, and I'm simply looking for a way to return home." the hooded traveler replied as he pulled down his white covering, revealing his own Namekian features. Momentarily the two Dark Clan Namekians looked at a loss, seemingly not expecting Jhelks to have revealed himself so simply. "Well either way 'Jhelks' we don't know you. Meaning we don- GAWHH!" The muscular Namekian was interrupted mid threat as a clawed hand punched through the left side of his stomach as Jhelks vanish stepped across the cave. Purple, ichorish-blood splattered among the mushrooms and stone as Jhelks tore his hand free of the large Namekian. Claws slick with blood Jhelks watched as the muscular fellow vomited green fluids and collapsed to the stone.
The Dark Clan children screamed and dropped woven baskets filled with mushrooms as the fled into the field of blue glowing fungus. The thin adult Namekian could only stare in shock as his companion shivered unconsciously on the floor. "Smart kids, smarter than their parent's anyway." Jhelks teases as he licked violet blood off his talons. "So, will you guide me to Slug Town? Or do I have to chase down your children?" Jhelks asked with a twisted smile spreading across his face. The Dark Clan Namekian screamed as he launched a ki blast at Jhelks.
The glowing ball of yellow energy seemingly passed through a shadowy-vision of Jhelks before striking a large mushroom and exploding into orange light. The cavern flickered shadows as blue luminescence battled a now growing fire for control over the caverns lighting. "Like I said, smarter than their parent's." Jhelks said from behind the Dark Clan Namekian, causing the clan member to jump in surprise and spin in place on his back foot.
Twin beams of energy shot from Jhelks antenna as the clan member turned, burning two holes in the side of the man's head. The clan member dropped mid-turn to the bed of fungus beneath his feet. Jhelks gave the growing smoke and fire a sad look as it slowly spread closer towards the two bodies. "Shame you had to ruin such beauty." Jhelks said to the corpses as the flames began to lick at them. Turning away from the scene Jhelks picked one of the children's woven baskets up from the stone, than scanned the cave in the direction the children had fled.
Than the dark Namekian gave chase.
