Now that Athren had improved his Nova Bomber to a Nova Cannon he had set out to improve a secondary technique, it was a technique that was much more close up and personal and one of his favorites. It was a technique that had got him through some very situation as the technique he was going to improve packed one hell of a punch that most couldn't see coming, this technique was typically go to last resort technique and he'd put every single ounce of energy he could into this technique to end his opponent. The technique of choice today was his Nova Punch, one that he was going to make even more devastating than before. His most fond memory of this technique was the battle with Jansen, the one that had claimed his crew for this technique along with his Demonic Spike transformation was the thing to end the almighty being that nearly ended his life.
For most, they wouldn't understand why Athren put such faith into his most basic techniques but to Athren they were his signatures that had gotten him through so much, they were the first techniques that he had learned on his own and they were a part of him. He couldn't give them up, he couldn't replace them just yet for they were few of the things that he had loved the most. Now, saying that Athren wasn't completely apposed to learning new techniques, he just wanted to improve his most useful to their maximum potential before doing so. These techniques were created to give the enemy massive damage, they were designed to kill and they were meant to take somebody out of a fight, the most basic of techniques could occasionally be the best, given the circumstances.
Now, given that Athren had favorite technique training spots he was going to once again go to one of them. The mountain ranges had served its purpose multiple times and the fact that it was so excluded from civilization made it one of his best but today, he was going to return to his most favorite spot on the face of this planet. He was going to head towards mount Paozo.
Suiting up in his house he wore his typical saiyan attire, a dark blue, skin tight battle uniform followed by his armored chest that had the heavy weights applied to it. Sitting on his bed he slipped on his white boots and lastly, he slipped on his gloves. He stretched the right one on tightly as he gave it a snap to secure it to his figure. He rose from his seat and walked out the door, his eyes had lifted to the sky as he looked towards his destination, it hadn't been too far from here. His orange aura flared up around his body as he blasted into the sky.
Athren had flown at rapid speed, he wasn't wasting anytime getting to his destination. The wind blasting against his body and ruffling his hair around aggressively, though it was a cooling kiss against his exposed skin. Something about flying on this planet was relaxing to him, it was calming and cooling, it was a place that he could focus and think and he had nothing on his mind but the success that he was about to endure. He was going there to improve a technique and that's exactly what he was going to do, his Nova Punch was going to become more deadly, more devastating than ever before and his opponents were going to know it when they got hit by the mighty strike. Now, Athren didn't know how long it was going to take him to improve it but that was something that might've been irrelevant because he was more than happy to stay out there all day and all night if that's what was required of him because Athren never quit, he never backed down and he'd always find a way to achieve his goals.
He was a saiyan after all and they were too proud to back down.
Approaching his destination Athren would've picked a spot by the river and touched down softly, his boots landing against the grass with grace. His eyes glanced around the area as he simply took a moment to listen to the flowing river. It was a place of pure peace, a place where he could focus and put all his attention and might into improving his technique. There was nothing here to distract him, nothing to bother him and absolutely nothing to stop him. He was going to pull through quickly and improve his technique in no time at all, of course.. there was always a chance of somebody coming along like normal but he was in no mood for it, he'd be the first to tell the person to screw off and he was more than happy to be blunt about it because this time, was his time and nobody could take that away from him for he was a determined and dedicated saiyan, he was preparing for the tournament and everything that came after. He was bracing for the fights of his life, the war that he sensed coming, he was going to prepare for it all and nobody was going to get in his way.
He took a moment to take a breath in and out, he exhaled slowly as he closed his eyes. He simply took this moment to visualize his victory, he saw himself standing at the end of this with an improved technique and everything he wanted accomplished for the day done. He did this as a sort of extra motivation, seeing it in his mind made it bluntly obvious that he needed to do it, he needed to complete it because that's what he had always done. Athren was the type to stick to his dreams and his goals, it's what drove him away from the PTO and brought him here and failure, wasn't ever an option for the fighter.
