Vuoto had recently gone into town to get something quick to eat, and after finishing his meal he was headin out to leave the town when he saw a poster with a familiar face on it. Curious as to why the saiyan's face was on a poster, after reading it the demon could only stop and think for a second on what to do. Heading out to leave the city once again, Vuoto stopped and glanced once more for a bit longer with the heavy reward of zeni being in question would likely be enough to get him a house at least.
Pausing once again, the demonic fighter then continued to think on this situation whether to tell or keep it hidden until he was strong enough to take the bounty, because if Lettuki ever betrayed his trust Vuoto had valid reason to end their life there and then. The newfound strength of the demon was also one to fear, to those of a weak breed at least. Being dismissed, the pale warrior vanished in the swish of his cloak and would reappear somewhere near Lettuki’s cave, thinking deeply about what he wanted to do in this situation. Lettuki is pretty strong, I do not believe I am yet a match for someone of his stature.. but he's been decent enough to me, why would I have reason to believe he'd betray me? Maybe I'm just being paranoid.. What do I do..
It was another day for Lettuki, the sun was bearing down on his back as the saiyan performed some push ups, his hands sunk deeply into the dirt due to the weights the saiyan had worn nearly non-stop. Yet his power wasn't enough, no, it was far too little to achieve his goals, he'd need to train harder and better, he'd need to learn more techniques and get even stronger, the throne was in his grasp, he just lacked the strength to lock it in an iron fist grip.
The saiyan stopped his work out, turning over so he'd be sitting in a laid back position and he wiped the sweat forming on his forehead away with the replacement armbands he had gotten when he gave his weighted arm bands to Jaci. Although he wasn't too sure what the little demon did with them, she threw it at him, he held onto them and then he got hit by her surprise attack. He dropped them, but couldn't find them afterwards, maybe Jaci took them with her, maybe she left them and he couldn't find them, he didn't really know. He could only hope she was doing better wherever she disappeared to and return safely.
A sudden hunger grew over the saiyan, so he sat upright and he pulled out yet another one of those little snacks his bartender friend had given him and he begun to happily eat the packet meal, it was a nice change of pace from the usual food he had cooked. However, the appearance of a familiar ki source had caused Lettuki to finish the rest of his meal and rise to his feet. He walked toward the source, wondering if it was Jaci finally making her return, but to his surprise, it was Vuoto. "Vuoto, glad to see you again, what brings you to my humble abode?" Lettuki asked with a smile, it was an unexpected surprise, but a welcomed one.
Vuoto had taken to a cave-filled area to think on what was seen in the city, the bounty on the one person he could talk to out of the surprising amicable chat the pale warrior had with the now missing Pluto and the other demon realm demon being a rather testing piece on his conscious. Should he attempt to surpass and then murder one of the few people that treated him decently or simply warn the person that would be a potential friend? Staring into the distance lost in thought, Vuoto would snap out of it and turn to see the person in question with no expression in that red eye and speak in a blank tone.
"I was simply looking to get away from the distracting noises of the city."
Lettuki crossed his arms as he listened to the demon, his was smile still on his face as he was pleased to have the demon around, he was developing a new technique and could use his help, even if the gap between the two warriors were slowly growing if Vuoto's current strength was any indication. "I see, that's a fair enough reason, I prefer the quiet as well." Lettuki commented as the demon finished his explanation. "Besides, out here it's far more easier to train, just have to step outside and the whole forest and fields are my training grounds." Lettuki would offer, his smile growing brighter as he talks about his training.
"Speaking of training, I'm trying to improve one of my techniques, I don't supposed you'd like to help me with that?" Lettuki would decide to ask the demon, figuring since it was just the two of them in the open field with only trees, they might as well train together, although a sudden question popped in the sayian's mind. "Say, did you sign up for the tournament coming up?" Lettuki asked Vuoto, curious if he had signed up since he didn't strike Lettuki as the kind of person to willingly go into battle.
Vuoto's inner dilemma continued, though thankfully the cloak hid the rest of his face in shadow that the bangs didn't cover, outside of the glowing cryptic red eye. On one hand, Lettuki had the definite chance of backstabbing the weaker demon at any point in time while he wasn't looking, which was a bit worrisome but not an issue so far at this current state. However, on the other hand, the brute didn't know of the demon's partial desire to slit the man's throat for the heavy bounty on the saiyan's head.
The two seemed to see eye to eye on the silence of the wilderness, and the easier nature of training out in the more deserted areas mainly due to little collateral damage except a couple toppled rocks or a small crater etc as opposed to people being murdered. so hey, no long term damage in the former situation. Being asked to help with a technique's training, and then about the tournament, he decided to indulge and explain.
"Yes, I did sign up, but not for the sake of fighting. I'm only in it to learn why these people do it, to maybe get a better understanding. I'm no fool, and there's the fact I won't get far. I'm just in it to see what it has to offer, these human rituals of strength. In the demon realm, the loser would be brutally killed."
Lettuki only rolled his eyes at the mention of the demon not making it far, he was coming along a bit better than Jaci and considering what the little demon managed to do, Lettuki was certain Vuoto could go quite the distance in the tourney, although if he could defeat Lettuki or not was a mystery even Lettuki didn't have an estimation for. Regardless, he was excited to be able to see the demon in action, for real this time, especially if it's against one another.
"I see, it will be interesting to see how far you manage to pull yourself Vuoto." Lettuki told the demon with a smile. "Although in these tourneys, killing the other is usually prohibited, humans are more softer when coming to these types of "rituals of strength" as you called them." Lettuki informed him, personally he would rather have these tourneys kill the pathetically weak, but it was pointless to talk about something he had no control over.
"Besides, there will be a chance for us to fight during the tourney, it will be fun to see your actual power." Lettuki said with a smile once more. He would be lying if he said he didn't want to fight the demon after the small brief spar the two had, even if the spar was just a mere test, it made him excited to know someone could keep up with him despite his increased strength.
"Anyways, I didn't quite catch your answer, want to help develop my technique?" It's relatively simple and shouldn't take too long at all for me to master it." Lettuki asked the demon once again, confident he could learn the skill easier with someone with Vuoto around, especially considering he had the means to properly defend himself.
Vuoto's full power remained hidden by his weights, which was less work he had to do in order to hide the power brewing within the demon as each day progressed. Having never been one to display that certain level of strength unless it was absolutely necessary, those who had witnessed it were granted a brutal swift death as where he came from anything went. In terms of being competitive, the pale fighter had very little of that nature and it was telltale judging by the lack of interest in the competition they'd signed up for.
Lettuki was excited to see the demon's actual full power, which Vuoto was nowhere close to like they had been what felt like a long time ago. Being asked to help him for a moment, the red-eyed mysterious fighter would simply nod and turn to face him, getting a respectful distance while having both hands under his cloak to hide what he would eventually be doing. "Seems these humans are weak spirited in their strength rituals.. as for your question, I will help you master this technique but I do not simply do favors randomly, consider yourself gifted. Now, begin."
"Alright, shouldn't be that hard, prepare some of those defense spells, I could use a work out while doing this." Lettuki told the demon as he stretched his arm across his chest, before doing the same to the opposite arm. He rolled his neck and allowed the bones to crack as he did so, he was prepared for a more casual spar than last time and wanted to take advantage of Vuoto's assistance to the best of his abilities.
"Well that, and I don't want to hurt you while doing this, if it works will hurt a bit more than just the punch." Lettuki told the demon as he finished stretching his legs, finally ready to go, Lettuki entered his fighting stance and took some deep breaths. "Now then, let's begin." Lettuki would say as he rushed forward, his smile gone as he begun to drink the thrill of the fight once again.
Beginning his offense, Lettuki would strike at the demon with his leg, attempting to deliver a swift kick across the demon's face. Regardless if the attack would land or not, Lettuki would quickly zip around the demon and try to deliver a quick upper to the demon that could send the demon flying upward if left unblocked.
If the attack would land, Lettuki would put his hand together with his palms outward in an all too familiar matter to the demon as Lettuki smirked. "Explosive Barrage!" Lettuki would roar out as the green ki coming from his hand would quickly take the shape of an orb, however it seemed to be a bit more wild as it formed, lashing out at random times. Lettuki would send the orbs at the demon, however as they approached Vuoto, some would hit against each other and blow up on impact with one another, however Lettuki kept sending them outward, for every 6 orbs he launched, 2 would blow up, by the time he fired off 75 orbs about 25 of the orbs would've blew up on themselves, leaving only a small cloud of dust in their wake and providing fine cover for the other orbs. However, this was the result Lettuki didn't want, no, it was too crude and a lot of energy was wasted during that attack, it would be better to overwhelm the demon with the pure numbers rather than waste energy making a smokescreen.
Should the uppercut be blocked or avoided, Lettuki would only fly backwards, bringing his arms upward and hands together, palms pointing at the demon as he smirked. "Explosive Barrage!" Lettuki would roar out as the orbs formed and were sent outward toward the demon, however on their way toward the demon, some orbs would not only hit each other and blow up, but some would even lack proper aim due to the saiyan's movement as he launched the attacks, making them hit the ground or even the surrounding area around the demon. The orbs would create a rather large smokescreen, but it was a huge waste of energy and not at all what Lettuki wanted or needed from the attack, he must've lost about 50 orbs from that attack to each other or the ground.
Regardless, Lettuki would take his stance, thinking about how he could possibly improve the attack while awaiting for the demon's reaction, either it be a return of an attack or one of their own attacks.

Lettuki seemed none the wiser about Vuoto's temptation to murder him for his bounty, but the one part of him that the demon had tried to lock away, the reasonable side, was screeching to tell him to warn the friend of the situation. Such situations would need to be handled delicately, but the pale warrior was snapped from their thoughts when the brute spoke, telling him to prepare defensive spells while his opponent stretched. Using that time to create reasonable distance, Vuoto was steeling himself for whatever was in store be it ki based or physical techniques used in this fight.
The second Lettuki came in for a sweeping kick, Vuoto surprisingly pulled off a rather elegant backflip to avoid both incoming strikes, for it seemed the demon's reaction time had increased as well as his power. It was easy to see the untrained way the energy flew at each other, colliding to create a smokescreen which was countered with a demonic shout. The shout was the word for the wind, as it blew away the smoke towards his opponent along with a bit of a sharp touch to it that had the chance to cut despite feeling like just wind.
Lettuki was pleased that Vuoto could still keep up, his reaction time improving enough to dodge the saiyan's own attacks and that meant he could use a bit more of his power while attacking. However, before he could go back on the offensive, Vuoto fired off his own attack, or so it seemed, a wind would push the smoke created by the failed orbs away, giving the two warriors a clear vision of one another, however the demon must've forgot about the orbs that didn't explode and since he had made no movement away from his location, the 25 remaining orbs would clash into him, each exploding on impact.
Lettuki on the other hand would know better than to just let the demon's wind wash over him and quickly leaped out of the way to the right of the wind's path judging by the way it pushed apart the wind. With the danger avoided, Lettuki would rush forward once again, creating orbs as he did so and allowing them to hover around him as he moved. Once he was close to the demon, he would send off 25 orbs off at him, on a direct path forward into the demon. "Explosive Barrage!" Lettuki would shout as he begun to fly circles around the demon, letting off his remaining 50 orbs randomly fly to where the demon stood, this time only 25 of the orbs would explode against each other now that Lettuki had some experience of firing off the attack while moving, yet it was still imperfect.
Regardless if the attack landed or not, Lettuki would fly upward and only look down at the demon, waiting for Vuoto's next action while he begun to think about ways to improve the technique. It was already getting better, but even with the quick revision, the orbs were still exploding against one another, a waste of energy and doesn't help at all except for creating a smokescreen to cover the other orbs, but even then the benefit was minimal compared to the waste of energy.
Everything so far was going quite well at least for Lettuki, of whom had a fairly strong sparring partner in the demon who was ready to take on the brute thanks to the upped reaction time with his getting more and more of a sense of bearing once their power began returning to them. After the necromancer's disgusting illusion tricks and attempt to use those he had bonded with against him, Vuoto had also trained further in mental protection to avoid such a thing happening again.
Lost in thought momentarily as the pale fighter idly raised the hand with the shout to blow away the orbs, the second shout of Explosive Barrage was starting to get just that bit annoying considering nobody shouted their attack before saying it unless it was an incantation which was the one drawback to being a magic user. Keeping track of Lettuki via ki sense, the pale demon would then shield himself once more in that pitch black opaque shield and murmur a counterattacking incantation. Should the brute get close in an attempt to break the shield, the shield would turn inside out and move to capture the saiyan inside of it where it would then promptly detonate and contain the explosion inside of it before it finally faded.
Lettuki saw the smoke fade away from the demon's location and saw a strange black ball sitting where the demon was. A defensive spell, although why the demon didn't drop it was a mystery to the saiyan who only point his hands together once more and begun to focus a bit better on his attacks, not really caring about the dome. As Lettuki formed his attacks, he allowed the orbs to float around himself once more, deciding to break the dome with a giant barrage striking it all at once rather than just sending them pair by pair like he usually done.
As he kept creating more orbs, he was proud of doing far better than before, a good 25 orbs had struck the demon while he remained untouched, a huge difference from before in which the saiyan only managed a single punch. But before he could create the 75 orbs, he felt his energy drain catch up to him rather quickly, too caught up in the battle to fully realize just how much energy the attacks were draining him. Lettuki only shrugged as he let the 50 orbs he had generated fly off into the dome in an attempt to destroy it. "Explosive barrage." Lettuki would kinda mutter to himself, a bit disappointed he could only manage 2 full powered barrages compared to the 4 full powered barrages he could do with the original version.

Vuoto had decided to shield himself in order to avoid the all around barrage of attacks, each of which collided with the demon's defensive spell and strained him slightly each time. The second the barrier was shattered, it sent the pale fighter rolling along the ground which subsequently allowed most of the attacks to miss except for one that struck right in the lower leg on the right side which combined with the barrier's break had sent the man rolling quite a ways.
Finally coming to a stop, the demonic warrior would let out a grunt before slowly getting back up, leaning to one side because of the smarting leg before looking back up at Lettuki with the rather angry snarl hidden by the shadows of his cloak and hood. Teleporting right behind the saiyan up in the air, Vuoto went to deliver a sledgehammer-like blow to the brute's back and send HIM crashing to the floor.
Lettuki watched the dome break under the force of all 50 orbs exploding against it, however some of the orbs even broke through and into the demon to his pleasant surprise. He had expected the attack to break through at most, but to inflict damage on the demon yet again was a plus. However when the demon came back up, he noticed him limping a bit, apparently hurting him more than he intended to.
That didn't stop the demon from making a return though, as soon as he disappeared Lettuki recalled the last time the demon disappeared during their spars and immediately flew forward, blindly hoping he'd avoid the demon's impending strike. Thankfully he predicated the attack correctly and he spun around to face the demon. "The same trick won't work on me." Lettuki told the demon as he pointed out the flaw in the demon's attempt. Lettuki would then cross him arms. "Your leg alright? We can stop the fight if you want, I am confident I learned the technique enough to be able to use it for the tournament." Lettuki told the demon, unsure if the demon would want to keep fighting just for the sake of fighting.
Vuoto's leg was bleeding freely due to having scraped against multiple sharp rocks on the ground, along with that scar having burst open once again and made the warrior's lavender hair slightly drip red thanks to it having bled. Attempting to retaliate and attack from behind in the sledgehammer tactic, what happened next was Lettuki's dodge was swift and it left him floating in midair while the bleeding continued from both wounds, breathing a bit heavier than normal. When the saiyan spoke, possibly being concerned about the injured leg which actually looked pretty badly hurt.
"T..Tch.. At least I know what to expect, don't I? If you're done with learning that technique of yours, I have something to tell you." Vuoto would slowly sink back down to the ground, his red pants stained a sort of darker red as there was a slight amount of blood on the terrain below. Moving to keep the pressure off of it, a quiet murmur and a white glow from the hand would occur as the demonic warrior would begin to heal it and it would reflect that, as it faded into a smooth skinned appearance.
