Esther believed every soldier now and then needed their break and usually had multiple ways of spending it. Sleeping, talking away, hell, even some of them considers training as a form of taking a break. That said, it did seem like not everyone has the concept of taking a break. She would know, after all, from her first few months of getting abducting, she felt like she was going to die. It was a damn shame she was still alive; not that she really wanted to die in the first place, but if it meant getting the hell away from this planet then by all means she'd except death with open arms.
Esther's way of taking a break? A drink. Back on her days at Earth when she was forced into a gang, she developed drinking habits mainly as a way to cope with the situation she was in. Alas, it was all coming back full circle. Alcohol was never her best friend, but she did develop a love towards it. That was why she was at a small military bar in nothing but her black t-shirt with the PTO emblem on the left side and black shorts. Just one step inside of the bar and already the stench of alcohol smacked her nose to the point of scrunching it from the strong order. Nothing better than everyone reeking some alien alcohol.[/color] She thought with a small sigh.
The woman crossed her arms as she began to wander around the bar. She noticed a few eyes laying on her and heard a few whispers among the crowd. "Ain't that the newbie? "I'm surprised she's still around." "Who knew humans could last this long?" It wasn't the first time she heard these comments and she felt like it wouldn't be the last until she'd become stronger. It felt like a rather... shallow concept to follow and never really minded the comments, but she'd like to see how life would be like if she was one of the higher ranks. Getting everyone to respect her and even go as far as to go down on their knees kiss the dirt of her boots? That's an image she could easily get used to.
Esther finally made it to the counter where she sat next to a human looking soldier with dark red skin and elf ears yelling his heart out with his fellow comrades. Exhaling deeply through her nose in annoyance, she turned her attention to the bartender that had just approached her. She rested bot harms on the counter while she tried to pick what drink to try. Frankly enough she wasn't a regular in this area, so she had no idea what to order or even expect.
"Uh... I don't know..." Esther muttered under her breath while she looked at the selection of oddly colored alcohol in the glass bottles. She wasn't even sure if she should order or let alone stay in this bar at this point.
"Fuck it, give me your strongest alcohol." She said with a light slam on the counter with her right hand as an announcement for her selection.
The bartender couldn't help but smirk at Esther as he grabbed a large mug for the woman, eyeing at her before he rose an eyebrow. "Are you sure, kid? You don't look like someone who knows how to handle alcohol. I can always give you water-"
"Yeah, and I don't think I asked for water now, did I?" Esther interrupted the bartender with a bark. "Fix me up a damn drink and don't make me fucking repeat it again." She threatened with gritted teeth.
Esther's little outburst drew some attention to the counter, hearing some snickering in the background including the bartender himself. Without another word, he got out an alcohol bottle with dark green fluid trapped inside. Keeping a straight face, she watched the bartender pour the drink inside of her large mug to the point of filling it up to the brim. Finally, he placed the bottle down and gently nudged it to the woman.
"Hope you enjoy your drink... and try not to choke too, we don't want another body lying around here." The bartender snickered.
