Mount Paozu Night Ops

It wasn't very frequently that Athren did something for somebody other than himself but this was a very particular situation that he found interesting, plus he believed it could've led him to one hell of a fight. It wasn't a for sure thing but it was a solid hunch and honestly, it didn't take much more than a fight for Athren to say 'yes' to somebody else. Now, the assignment he had found himself on was rather irrelevant in his mind and he really didn't care about the overall goal but in order to get the fight, he'd need to play along with what he was told. Now, his assignment was simple enough and it was to locate a missing son. This quest was given to him by a family in a village that had rested nearby, apparently their son had gone missing a few weeks back and the last location he was set off was Mount Paozu itself. Now Athren knew this land very well but nothing every struck him as odd, deadly, or suspicious so he was almost excited to investigate the scenario. The fact was simple, he didn't care if he found the boy so long as he found a fight.

Currently, Athren found himself wandering the mountain in the darkness of night and his ocean blues scanned the area thoroughly for any clues that could've pointed him in a direction of the missing boy. Now, this wasn't going to be as simple as he hoped as he couldn't pick up a single trail of evidence and he had been up here for hours. It didn't help that is was quite a cold night, it was cold enough for Athren to see his own breath in the air. Though he might've spent a lot of time throughout the years up on this mountain, he had never done so this late in the night and having the temperatures this low was quite new to him though he handled them well. He didn't put a second though to how his body was reacting to the shear cold for he was much too determined and focused on the mission ahead.

Of course, Athren had worn his regular saiyan attire as he always does. His dark blue jump suit with the white boots and gloves and the final touch to his uniform was his protective chest plate with the heavy weights attached. It was the best uniform to fight as it restricted his power level and increased it all at the same time, it made things more fun and much more challenging in situations where he'd usually just stomp the floor with the opponent and the more one struggled, the more one gained and this was something Athren had heavily approved of.

Walking the mountain paths Athren kept his eyes low, they scanned from left to right frequently but to no avail. There wasn't any signs of anything and it was at this point that he wondered what might've been underneath the rock and in the mountain itself. He brought his right hand to his chin as he thought of maybe a cave or a hideout of some kind and this might've been his best conclusion so far, it was the one that made the most sense. A concealed hideout in the mountain could hide missing people and keep the kidnappers in a safe location.. but he wondered where to start looking for it? For that, he didn't have a clue where to start.

Though this thought didn't stay in Athren's mind long for somebody had been on the approach, he picked up a power level approaching him very slowly and he couldn't help but arch a brow. His first assumption was that it might've been someone that had been responsible for the boy going missing, because who else would've been up here at this time of the night? It was at this point that he simply waited for whomever it was to show themselves, they were close enough that surely they could hear him and he acted on this.

Given that he didn't know who or what was approaching Athren took his fighting stance, his ocean blues starred down the darkness of the trail he walked up as he observed for any kind of movements or advanced towards his location. "Whoever, Whatever you are.. Show yourself." Athren stated this firmly and confidently for it wasn't a request, it was a demand and Athren expected that it be followed. In all honesty, Athren might've found it a little exciting that he didn't know who was beyond the shroud of darkness, maybe it was the opponent that he had been looking for or maybe it was somebody else, though he knew he was going to get to the bottom of it because that's what he was here for and in all honesty, this person might've been the lead that he was looking for all night long.

One thing that Athren wouldn't have expected is another saiyan up in this mountain doing the same thing that he was, surely it would've been a shear coincidence and something that he wouldn't have wrapped his head around but Athren was well aware that the universe had worked in weird ways, it always had a method of bringing together those whom were meant to be together in some way, shape or form. What he didn't think of is that the person approaching could've had the potential to become on of his greatest allies, his best friend and so much more. In fact, the possibilities were endless right now. What it would really come down to is how the individual acted, how they spoke and how they carried themselves and that was surely about to be discovered because it was only going to take a matter of time for some kind of event to take off, for some kind of speech or attack, something was coming from the darkness that laid ahead and Athren couldn't be more excited.
