Jaci was a little distraught, after what seemed like far too long a time frame, she had managed to get up the courage to return to the forest that was her home for so long. She had dreaded returning and what she found as she blipped into the area only confirmed her fears. With her defeat at the hands of that power suit, the company had indeed gone to town in destroying the place. The stumps of trees looked like their own little scars across the landscape as far as Jaci could see, what was once a huge playground of animals and foliage was now barren and somewhat desolate. She temporarily touched the healing burn wound on her face with an angry little growl running up and escaping her. She’d been too weak to protect her home and this was what had become of it. The little demon needed to focus on mastering the icy powers that her dad had been so insistent that she use.
She walked rather dis-concertedly along the path she once knew, lightly kicking a few stray twigs and leaves aside as she did so, realising that these were all that was left. She couldn’t even feel the presence of the trees around her, nor all the adorable little animals that she had enjoyed the company of. There was something though, some little discordant note among the death that surrounded her. A small piece of life, that Jaci was starting to head towards, hoping that she would find something she recognised now. There was still some forest, clearly the Log.Co people hadn’t been interested in all of her home. Though easily more than three quarters of it had just vanished, so she ran and running led to flying in the hope she’d find them sooner rather than later. Though there was something about the energy that felt oddly familiar.
