History:
Zeta as is common with several children of the Tuffle race, was genetically built to carry on traits from both his mother and father, a literal perfect child that had his best talents handpicked. Everything, from the tone of his fair skin, eye color, hair, voice and even temperament was carefully considered and paired with qualities that would best suit his talents. Unlike most children however, Zeta and a select few were the children of the best and brightest of the Tuffle people, an attempt to further the race through perfection. His mother and father were both genius level scientists among even the already advanced intellect of his race. Nurtured and taught carefully since he could first perceive words, Zeta had been built up and raised by the finest educators and at a young age was able to not only intake the wisdom of wiser men and women but replicate and given time, improve upon them. The process of thought through a normal organic being requires fractions of a second to travel through the nervous system, though thanks to several modifications and bio-mechanical components, Zeta's train of thought can process information thousands of times faster than most beings.
Along with Zeta, there were 2 other children that were similarly created, having traits handpicked by both consenting parents and raised on neighboring planets and moons. During his eight year of life, came the arrival of the Planet Trade Organization, a known threat to several peaceful worlds and people. With such a long time without having fought in war, the Tuffle people were scared and looked to their leaders for away to avoid the possibility of losing lives. Although they certainly had the technology to contend with the PTO, the military power claimed might over several star systems and could continue to rain fire down onto the planet. The most logical conclusion was to offer an alliance, the Tuffles were not a battle hardened people but their talents would prove useful if utilized correctly. During the negotiations, the surest way to assure loyalty was to be sincerely open with the PTO in order to gain their trust and thus Zeta was named as a sort of olive branch to reach said alliance. He was gifted to Von Frost family, to serve as a voice of reason and to assure that the PTO and their technology continued to advance as well.
Having spent a few years on a ship working and learning about how the vessel, life support and navigation systems functioned, Zeta quickly began work on improving power efficiency. He was gifted a laboratory to work in and engineered all manner of equipment, the finest of which was a micro-armor that infused itself into the wearers spine and nerves, granting a boost in fighting ability, durability and was able to strengthen the tensile force of natural muscle fibers. Two years had passed and with them came the rise of Zero-Von Frost, the rising Captain of the PTO and heir to the Von Frost family. With his time on the ship, Zeta has become more calculating, he knows that assisting the PTO will only bring harm and still, he continues to do so in order to not only assure his own safety but the safety of his home.
Personality:
Zeta is an inquisitive boy, he enjoys asking questions and learning new things only because in moments of peace, he feels a tad uncomfortable. When things get a little too quiet for his liking, he will often pace about with a sort of anxiety, his hands fidgeting a bit. That's not to say he cannot find moments of clarity, it is just that he is constantly thinking, planning and perceiving the world about him, it helps to have one thing to concentrate on. Often, he will get lost staring at nothing or in his own thoughts but he does manage to float above the sea of thought. As a child, Zeta can still be somewhat immature, though he knows to be careful and on his best behavior around PTO officers and officials.
On his own, Zeta enjoys drawing and doodling in the corners of his laboratory reports, though they haven't become enough of a problem for the PTO to put in complaints. Often times, he'll enjoy speaking to some of the soldiers about their home planets and hearing about their people, Zeta does his best to intake any and all knowledge, it can be as handy as any tool to defuse or escalate a situation on a whim. For the most part, Zeta keeps to himself, attempts at conversation can be a bit difficult as he is honest and upfront about his own opinion, though he does his best to remain a neutral party. He is not good and he's not bad, he's just a kid.
Starting Technique:
Offensive Techniques
[PT-1] Concussive Impact
Striking with a specialized kinetic gauntlet, Zeta's strikes are given more force than he can naturally output. Starting at the shoulder, the gauntlet will fire with a heavy piston at close range, like a jackhammer, doing so increases Zeta's range and usually surprises opponents the first time.
(1-25% Stam)
[PCT-1] Unshackled Assault
Allowing his pain inhibitors to switch on, Zeta's combat armor functions on its own, flooding his muscles with adrenaline and ceasing pain momentarily. In doing so, Zeta's muscles are able to operate without any restrictions and increase his speed and power for a few moments. Charging forward, Zeta attacks with a shoulder charge and races to follow up with a knee from behind.
(1-25% Stam)
[CT-1] Lancing Bullet
Moving his hand into a gun position, the battle armor focuses the ki to the tip of Zeta's fingers. Using his thumb as a hammer, a thin laser will rip through the air and tear through object and enemies alike.
(1-25% Ki)
Defensive Techniques
[ST-1] Basic Energy Barrier
In order to blunt damage, Zeta uses his energy to create a makeshift barrier around himself. Doing so uses his ki though and can be tiring on the body.
(15 energy)
Support Techniques
[ST-1] Flight
Taking it upon himself to learn, Zeta is capable of flight through manipulation of his ki.
[ST-1] Energy Sensing
With the data of ki and readings of energy, Zeta has learned to naturally feel/sense the presence of ki signatures within a small radius. Still requiring some practice, Zeta continues the pursuit of knowledge.
Example Roleplay:
Sat behind a metallic desk, Zeta would tap his fingers against the metallic surface in a rhythm, he had completed the tasks asked of him and now he found himself with some free time on hand. The whirring of the internal drive core of the PTO militant frigate accompanied the tapping, the boy finding it difficult to ease the feeling of tension building in him. Usually he had so much to do, though with the science department beginning to gain more and more funding, he knew all he had to do was wait until there was more work to do, more machinery to learn and tinker with. All he had to do was wait.
"Just wait...it'll be okay..." He would mumble through an uneasy sigh, bringing his hands out in front of himself, quite literally twiddling his thumbs. Zeta's eyes scanned across the metal walls and ceramic floors, there was very little his eyes hadn't seen in this room but this creeping feeling continued. "I can't take it! I'm going for a walk!" The boy exclaimed after waiting all of about 5 seconds before he pushed back, rolling his seat from under the desk and standing up. Walking towards the science bay doors, the two would slide open from the center, allowing Zeta to enter through the engine room, the anti-mass core inside which he had engineered was performing beyond expectations. Pausing in his tracks, a bit of nostalgia washed over him, it had been a year since the idea of the anti-mass core came to mind, though the idea was brilliant, even for himself.
The problem with most of the ships was the ability to travel throughout the vast space took quite a bit of time in most cases. The anti-mass core was created to mimic the effects of a gravity chamber but ship-wide and in reverse of its traditional use. Rather than increase the gravity, the anti-mass core instead managed to reduce it's targets weight to 0.01% of it's original weight, in doing so, this allowed it to momentarily bend one of the 4 major forces of nature. In doing so, achieving light speeds and beyond are not out of the question. With a decent step forward, he had so many ideas of how to improve upon it further, instantaneous travel and teleportation was not out of the question. Ideas of creating a quantum teleportation device could work, the problem would be how to retain every last atom of oneself without ending up all over and in several trillion pieces.
His imagination fueled his mind more and that sort of harmony helped to ease his tension, the ideas of what could be possible made him want to delve into several different possibilities. Of course at the same time, he knew that giving said technology to the hands of the PTO would be dangerous, for now, the anti-mass core would do just fine.
