Vuoto's casual mention of the occasional hex seemed to provoke some slight displeasure in the hybrid, and when they next spoke it seemed that this man was one to enjoy aggression and annoying the hell out of others which to be honest the latter was enjoyable at times. Upon hearing the more angered tone and seeing the malicious smirk, it made the pale warrior slightly tense up but only very mildly so as a natural reaction. Chuckling quietly once the reason why mentioning this was explained, it seemed they had different ways of hanging their opponent upside down except with Vuoto it was quite literally hanging them upside down.
When the demon next spoke, it was in a still calm tone as the demon crossed his arms in return. "Now now, I don't hex willy-nilly. It's a waste of magical energy to do it without good reason. Our ways of teaching a lesson may be different, but it seems the result is still the same. I find myself rather irritated at those who try to prove they can do something better, but it's somewhat amusing when you beat them down a few pegs. I may not be as physical, as I prefer my magic to fighting fist to fist, but if I was fully recovered perhaps we may have been able to do a friendly battle, although I might not seem much now. I used to be stronger, but it took a lot out of me to warp here."
Pluto didn’t doubt the man when he stated his previous power, there was no reason to after all. It was odd that Pluto seemed stronger than a demon, besides the fact that you shouldn’t always trust your first assumption; it would indeed explain the gap in power. Pluto was unsure if he could beat the guy in a fight, if it was physical then of course hands down, but magic? Pluto had never experienced magic so it would probably cause a hefty amount of trouble. Yeah, Pluto really didn’t see any point in fighting the guy any time soon.
“Whatcha mean? You can like, teleport? Like I know some people, including myself who can do some fast moves and make it seem like teleporting. But you mean like actual teleportation, but why would that take so much out of you if you already know how to do it?” Pluto was genuinely curious. Maybe the guy had a spell backfire when he tried to do the warp. Pluto would listen to the man as he put the food and drink back up, he would lie the shirt back down on his bag before returning to stand where he had been. This was not how Pluto had expected his day to go.
Vuoto sounded almost wistful about the lost power, as it had taken many years of fighting to even obtain and it seemed in this realm that his current weakened state was somewhat above average at least according to those the demon had previously interacted with. Regardless, the pale warrior's sharp red eye kept Pluto in view while looking up at the sky, chuckling as it seemed once again that the simplicity of some magical skill was enough to amaze. While Pluto went to go put the edible and beverage back, Vuoto let out a soft hmm of thought on whether or not to show him what teleporting actually looked like.
Deciding on doing so by clicking his left hand's thumb and middle finger in a snap, a few strange looking diamonds remained before the demon reappeared by the bag, and then back to where Pluto stood now potentially confused. "That was teleportation. The warp I used required a massive amount of power in order to even pull it off, and I was barely able to sustain it enough in order to arrive here. I come from a place trapped by a seal, and I had to tear it open momentarily in order to get out, and didn't exactly choose where I ended up though I am glad it was not in space. Upon the transition from my home to here, the amount of power I had to use exceeded what my physical form was capable of and it caused my body to lock away some of it in order to compensate while I apparently blacked out after arriving due to this process."
"I can only use what my body now allows me to, and thankfully my teleportation ability does not seem hindered by the chain of events that has taken place.. but I have never seen so much color and life in such a small area, much less people that will talk instead of immediately fight." Telling the somewhat whole truth, it would really be impossible to tell of the tiny white lie hidden within if there even was one as Vuoto's head turned once again to view Pluto in full instead of looking at the sky.
Pluto would look pretty impressed; it was a trick that he could imagine would be incredibly useful. As he had told the demon before, he knew of techniques that seemed as if one was teleporting, but they truly were not. He then went on to mention a seal of some sort, Pluto could only guess that he was talking about hell or wherever else he had come from. “That’s all… pretty interesting, I guess. Don’t really know how to respond to all that,” he would let out a chuckle, “But that’s all quite some story you have to tell there."
Pluto nodded as he mentioned the life of nature, “Yeah, don’t know how it looks where you come from but I’m sure it ain’t this. But like I said before, you’ll get a ton of people who don’t straight up attack you, but that’s depending on the area. You go to the wrong place and things will fall into place pretty quickly for a brawl. Hell some people just chomp at the bit to get to their next fight,” Pluto said to the demon. Truly Pluto didn’t think he was some goodly thing, he was sure that there were nefarious plans going around in the demon’s head. He was a demon after all, what was Pluto supposed to think about it all? Vuoto had been rather cordial but in the long run Pluto doubted he would do anything nice or good. Only thing was this, currently it didn’t concern Pluto in the slightest. If the hybrid had to come in to stop some sort of psycho demon eating and killing people, then he definitely would.
“But look, it’s been nice and all to talk to ya, I never really shoot the breeze with other people. I got my training to finish and I’m sure you’re wanting to rest. I don’t know how things go where you’re from but I’m pretty sure you’ll probably need some help knowing what’s what. Here,” Pluto would get his phone out. He began showing the demon pictures of some fast food chains, some restaurants, and a couple motels he could bunk in. He showed him the map of the area as well, telling him to keep following the dirt path into the city. The hybrid was positive that Vuoto had maps where he was from, and that he would remember the logos of the places. If asked he would explain cell phones too.
“Now, I usually don’t do this, I’m not a helpful guy. So you should feel pretty lucky, and don’t get used to it either,” Pluto would huff. He didn’t want the guy to go around robbing places or getting kicked out either, that would only cause more trouble that he didn’t want to deal with. “Look, here’s some money, don’t know what you guys use, but it’s pretty much to trade for services.” Pluto was sure Vuoto knew math, even if they had different names for the numbers one was always one and two was always two. He pulled out a few hundred Zeni and held it out for the man, he would give a quick rundown of how many of the bills equaled however much Zeni. “I’m only doing this so you can sleep somewhere and get something to eat. You’re less likely to kill someone or beat their ass if you’re not pissed as fucked from being so tired. Once again, don’t get used to this!” Pluto gave another small huff and crossed his arms. “I’m not sayin’ you owe me, but…” Pluto let the sentence trail off.
Vuoto was obviously smart, even with all the new information Pluto was sure he would easily catch on.
Pluto was dumbfounded by the teleportation ability held by the demon he had met, with said being listening to the long speech bubble and noting the fact that it would indeed be different than from where he came from. Every realm seemed to have those who would challenge anyone in sight, and it became clear that the hybrid no longer wanted the demon's company which was something said otherworldly being could respect; as it was often back in the demon realm that he sought a moment of peace be it to train or to rest.
The object that Pluto now pulled out showed some images, and gave him knowledge of where to go and then gave the being some strange crisp bills that were called zeni. Nodding once and then making them disappear in the blink of an eye, with the brown haired warrior only seemingly doing this so Vuoto wouldn't attack or kill someone and repeatedly told him not to get used to it. Chuckling quietly as the hybrid let the sentence trail off, the demon then prepared to get out of here as telltale by the wind that was starting to circle the two.
"Thanks for the information is in order, I may be a demon but that doesn't mean I can't be sociable towards someone that's willing to help. Consider yourself the second person I haven't hexed on first meeting, but it is now that we part ways. As for your implications, perhaps I do, perhaps I don't.." With another quiet chuckle and stepping back into the rushing wind that surrounded the being, it was then that only a few diamonds would be left and result in the disappearance of the strange pale man; whom left without a trace.
Pluto would shake his head in response to the demon’s statement about mayhaps that he would kill. There was literally no reason to murder, especially since he would have a place to sleep and a full stomach. Oh well though, he couldn’t control the guy he could only retaliate if he did something monstrous. Pluto didn’t think of himself as a hero of any kind, nor was he a bleeding heart, but he had a strict code of honor that he followed. Pluto gave a small wave and nodded at the end of the demon’s talk; a farewell was given and Vuoto was gone.
Pluto stood for a few moments thinking back on the whole of the interaction, this could end up being a comic book situation, as in the demon could do something terrible that Pluto could have stopped if he had known beforehand. The hybrid would shake his head as there wasn’t much he could do about it now, he did wonder who the first person was that the guy didn’t hex though. “Gotta get back to it,” Pluto mumbled before walking back over to his previous spot. The punch began coming anew, slowly and steadily; Pluto would continue this into dusk.
